I know im probably going to get yelled at for creating another Halo 2 topic but I didn't know if problems would warrent going into the official thread? Anywho, I was playing and I notcied that it seems that maybe the screen is stretched on my tv? Almost 1/8 of the map on the left side of the screen is off to the side, as well as that, I just see eckpoint, instead of checkpoint, you get the point I think, its almost as if my tv is eating an 1/64th of the screen?

Anyone have any suggestions, my tv is a 32" samsung hd.....

I had a disc error when I first tried to play, it happen right before Master Chief got off the rail car, right after you got control of him. The other problem I've been happening which has happened a couple times is some of the textures haven't been loading in some of the cut scenes.

Im pretty sure the cutscene texture problem is in all copies because Ive seen it mentioned in several reviews.

The movies durring co op are really off but other then that Ive had no problems, I havent even seen any of the pop in somebody was complaining about earlier. And multiplayer over xbox live is seemless (RS3 has nothing on this)

It's funny, because I didn't notice the texture problems at all in the pirated copy, but I see them almost every cutscene on the official one. You know .. people not appearing until a few seconds after the scene loads, or the bump mapping hasn't filled in quite yet. Nothing too bad, I just wouldn't expect it from a game that was in the making so long.

cut scenes have major popup problems.....i mean, you can notice them, even when you try not to...argh! so annoying

goodnes do the cutscenes ever have problems. theres pop up, late load, textures that just change, freezing to load different texture models and sometimes the voices skip too. bungie got lazy here , they knew they had the money in the bag.

I get those symptoms on certain games. You more than likey have dreaded 'Thompson' like I have

Well, people try to talk themselves into thinking the texture thing is just their DVD drive or their Xbox, but the truth is, that's just how Halo 2 is. Popping textures everywhere.

The HDTV 480p thing is a common issue to 90% of everyone who uses 480p. Bungie just plain fvcked up here. Read about it in the Bungie.net forums here: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=1015179

The dirty disc complaints aren't as widespread of a problem, and usually it actually is a problem with your Xbox, unless you actually let your Halo 2 disc get dirty already.

Bungie.net forums (among many others) are just going crazy with disappointed hardcore Halo fans. This is the biggest gaming catastrophe ever. Bungie isn't even Bungie anymore. They're just going to take their billion dollars from pre-orders and run.

You didn't get it with a pirated copy because it streamed from the hard drive, whereas the retail copy streams from the CD. If you back the game onto your HD, it will probably fix the problem.

Anyways, bad multiplayer glitch.. it started showing my team as enemies and they were all floating around.. no one could hear me talk.. bleh. I chalk that one up to Comcast, because they suck. Lots of lag for me.

I've already fell through a floor.. but at least it looked pretty when I did. I guess it isn't as bad as when I had Raziel stuck in a floor in LOK: Defiance, and his head was above the floor.. as the enemy ran around in confusion attacking the air

did you guys with the load problems get the regular version or LE. I was pissed when i saw that the game disc and extra DVd were stacked, perhaps there was some scratches while rubbing against the other disc.

I'm sorry, but Halo 2 is far from being a catastrophe of any kind. Its not a bad game by any standard and its not nearly as glitchy as GTA was.

And I use Halo 2 in 480p. I have absolutely no problems of any kind.

Halo 2 certainly has its faults. Most of them are limited to cutscenes. The cutscenes don't change the gameplay, so I am fine. GTA:SA has infinitely more technical problems than Halo 2 in my mind. I can't count the number of times I have been racing around, going really fast, and then I slam into an invisible wall, only to have it appear 5 seconds later. The game is full of slowdown and glitches, and yet I have barely heard a thing said about it.

I have never had that happen to me in GTA:SA

I never said you were not telling the truth, just that it has never happened to me (or anyone else I know around here).

Happened to me once or twice when I rented the new GTA over the weekend. There was some snoticeable slowdown at somepoints too, but I still really enjoyed it and will be of course purchasing it around christmas time.

I keep getting Warthogs and Banshees stuck in parts of the environment. I'll get out and let an AI marine take the wheel and he'll get stuck too, but then reappear 50 feet somewhere else. Reminds me of lag, but this is during the campaign.

Amen to that! I wish everyone would get off their knees and stop worshipping R* and give them some proper criticism.

Not even mentioning the Gargoyle claw hands all the characters have. GTA: SA is a great game that is the only GTA title I enjoy. Halo 2 is like Halo reborn (which is like golden eye reborn IMO). Even with these minor graphical glitches I have tons of fun with the game my only gripe is the lack of a gamma correction option.

The left side of my screen is also cutting off some of the picture...Its not much, but when I have Plasma grenades in LIVE, it usually says /4 (I cannot see how many I have)

I have a 55" MITSUBISHI TV, Widescreen. I know there is a "secret" menu you can access to possibly shift your screen around, but I should NOT have to do that, since everything else is fine...DVD's and TV

I just talked to one of my friends, and his Xbox is having no problems with loading character models and textures in cutscenes, but his Xbox is only a month or so old.

Well off to 480i, i guess until bungie decides to send a patch out, this blows... how in the hell could they have missed something this big? Why didnt they just give us the option to run it in 1080i.

I bought one of the Halo Xboxes and started using it in June, and it has trouble loading the textures quickly enough. I'm not as bothered by it as some seem to be though.

It bugs me to know that this game was done over a month ago and yet they couldn't use the extra weeks to fix some of the problems. They also have Microsofts pockets to use to make the game a'bit more cleaner. Heck its the Xbox game that everyones is going to own and they couldnt fix it. :x

Do you really understand how long it takes to produce the amount of copies they needed for launch? If they had taken a couple more weeks to work on the game, we wouldn't have been playing it until around Christmas.

check into your TV though...I know mine has a "SERVICE MENU" that you can play with the horizontal and vertical position of your TV, like a PC monitor. Mine is not that bad, so I don't really care.

1080i is just a pipe dream. 720P, well...ok....too bad my TV does not support 720P....had to jump on the HDTV bandwagon about 3 years ago. Oh well, still looks damn good on my 55" Widescreen HDTV :)

Cutscene problems Ive seen.. but Ive been mostly MP online.. so it doesnt bother me.. Played it all day yesterday and from 1am till 6am mon-tueday.. took a 4 hour nap and kept on going.. TON of FUN..

Im curious.. though now that someone brought up GTA:SA... does that have MP online?

I have a crt hdtv and mine is cut off but only a little bit on the sides, i can still see most of the ammo indicators and only an inconsequential bit of the radar is off, its still annoying though.

I read at hdtv-arcade.com forums about Guilty Gear x2 Reload having this problem also.

I had the texture loading problems in some of the cutscenes from the first two stages, but after new mombasa, there's been no problems or glitches whatsoever. My xbox is only a few months old, had to replace my thompson this summer, glad I did. People are complaining way too much about this game. It's all the hype.
There's also the fact that with anything, the negative voices are going to be louder, and speak out more. The people who love it are gonna be too busy playing to be sitting online talking about it, unlike all the haters.

i seem to notice that whens theres a white fade screen before or in the middle of the cut scene, there is not problems in the cutscene. however when there isnt a white fade, theres a ton of problems.

ive seen texture problems, slight freezes, music pauses. theres are signs or lack of memory if i remember.

I have a standard 4:3 HDTV and have my XBOX 480P setting turned on. I haven't noticed anything being cut off. I see the full ammo gauge and radar. It is very close to the edge but it's all there.
