Halo 2 (Xbox) pre-order $43.39 shipped, LE $49.89 shipped at Overstock.com

I was about to post this couples days ago but when I saw the explanation that they will charge our credit card once we place the order , I changed my mind. I thought it was not a good deal for that part. But the price it good.
 
Overstock.com is a pretty good site, I've ordered from them dozens of times. Their customer service is top notch and I think they have operators or at least email watchers 24/7. Once I got a DVD set that was damaged in shipping, I sent them an email at like 3am and 8 minutes later they gave me confirmation of a new order processed for 0.00 for a replacement, and I didn't need to send them back the old one.
 
I heard that you can't cancel the order once you place it.

And they charge you the instant you preorder the game... not when it ships.

I'm going to hold off, a better deal might pop up down the road *cough*Fry's*cough*
 
I just looked at the Limited Edition page on Overstock and thought it was funny to see "Customers who bought this item often buy..."

I do see where it says that orders can't be cancelled, but the reason they give is that the warehouse is notified immediately. If it's a pre-order, I doubt how that would be applicable. You could call them and ask them to clarify...

ya, I ahve always wondered where theu y come up wiht this stuff. Its like when I go to amazon, and they recommend baby items to me.
 
jshorr, someone already tried to cancel on the main cheapassgamer page...

Uh, Manofpeace20, Overstock.com doesn't do cancellations!!! I called today to see if I could get a lower price change b/c of the updated $2.50 off of the LE, and I was told I couldn't change the order at all!!! Unswayed, I chose to 'chat online' with a service representative, and I ended up getting $5 credited towards my next purchase with them (since I ordered two copies.)
