Damn, either Halo 5 is really bad, or you've never played Shaq Fu.
Like was said below, I was speaking on the comparison of expectations and reality. I didn't play
Shaq Fu, but I never had an interest in it (or knew it existed as a kid).
Halo is the reason I got the original Xbox. It's stood as probably my favorite gaming franchise for over a decade. Now,
Halo 5 comes and is so bad at everything that it's hard for me to expect even a decent game from the franchise in the future. That's why it's such a problem for me.
He did say "comparing expectations to reality". No one expected Shaq Fu to be good back when it came out ...
But really, I'd think No Man's Sky would hold that title for the general gaming population, or Mighty No. 9. Neither are as terrible as made out, but compared to expectations - massive disappointment.
I wasn't a
Mega Man person, and I am EXTREMELY leery of Kickstarter games. I had no faith in
Mighty No. 9 to ever deliver on its promises, though the degree to which it disappointed was unexpected.
No Man's Sky, I didn't like from the get-go. I'm not a fan of "create your own adventure." It's why I got bored of
Minecraft after a week--Really, I went in wanting to find the hard-to-find stuff (get to the Nether, uncover Diamond, etc.). I'm not creative, so that stuff didn't interest me. When I saw what
No Man's Sky aimed to be, I lost interest. I was curious about it because people were talking it up, but as soon as I read more about it, I knew it wouldn't live up to my expectations.
For the masses, I think you'll see
Destiny land as the most disappointing offering. That thing got a 10-year budget at the start, and it's just a blob of game.
