Halo Mega Bloks Official
I just want a LEGO HALO game so I can finally say I've play a HALO game all the way through. (don't judge me)
even though I've beat H3, I agree with you.

I have a toddler and a baby, so we have mega bloks in the house. Sure, Lego's would've been the bee neez, but I'll take what I can get and soon I'ma get me a Megablok Warthog!
Isn't MEGA Bloks the retard's Lego? (i.e. no sharp corners, far too big to swallow)

To be fair, LEGO has those too. They're Duplo blocks.

Looking in their shop, their licensed stuff is actually well suited for Halo. Here's their Spiderman 3 set, click on the Toy Animation tab and ignore the obvious effect parts. :p (reminds me of Robot Chicken): http://www.megabrands.com/Shop/Brands/Spiderman_3/Final_Battle_2005/

BTW -- saw these in TRU last week. They look awesome and the packaging and pricing structure matches up to Lego.

They were on the shelf next to some Pro Builder Mega Blok kits, like motorcycles and speed boats. I think there is a good opp for Mega to capture an older demographic when they can show Halo fans that they have cool, mature models for them to build.

They were on the shelf next to some Pro Builder Mega Blok kits, like motorcycles and speed boats--the pro builder sets were packaged in slick black boxes with real clean artwork and design on the front. Both the Pro Builder and Halo sets had very complex design work on the back, showing all the vehicles and figures for the specific box. The Halo Wars packaging looked really spectacular, with a clean, big action pic on the front.

I think there is a good opp for Mega to capture an older demographic when they can show Halo fans that they have cool, mature models for them to build in the Halo line and the Pro Builder line. The Mega Bloks dragons have always been cool.

Can anything having to do with Mega Bloks really be called 'Official'?

I am curious as to the different directions they may take vs the design of all the Lego games, which frankly I'm getting a bit tired of.

When I read the title I was thinking I was going to read about a game being made. Would be nice to get one. I don't know why but a lego game or mega bloks of game of halo might be fun.

Whoops. I completely misread the title of the thread. lol

MEGA Brands Inc. (TSX: MB) is thrilled to announce today that it has entered into a global licensing agreement with Microsoft Game Studios to develop construction toys based on its much-anticipated new game, Halo Wars
I think that means just the toy sets..

? I'm not sure what you are trying to convey.

The Halo Wars building block sets are Mega Blok brand building sets, that resemble and are compatible with regular (non-Duplo) Legos. The minifigs are sculpted in more detail than Mega Bloks' Pirates of the Caribbean line, so they are more detailed than the typical Lego minifig. The photos on the box of the models and the figures look great.

The quality of Mega Bloks' standard lines is decent. I have no experience with NeoShifters, but the larger Marvel Hero figures from a few years ago, that looked to be compatible with Bionicle, are not, and the quality of the plastics in the tall Marvel Heroes was not as good as Bionicles either -- the designs were great, just not the ball joints. The older Metal Ages Dragon line of toy and figures, especially the ones with the Lego minifig size knights and goblins were of quite nice build and design, not like the Dragons that were available for the past 3 years or so.
