Halo REACH LEGENDARY at TARGET - $37.48 + Tax (possible YMMV)

ivos

CAGiversary!
I just came back from my local Target store and purchised Halo Reach Legendary for $37.48 + Tax. As most Target deals it is highly possible YMMV deal but it is worth to check your local Target stores.

Thanks for the heads up on this! I was able to pick the last one up at the North Olmsted, OH Target. There were 2 other stores in my area showing limited availability, but they were out. Great deal!

Struck out at four Targets in the Atlanta area all showing "limited availability." Two hours of driving / searching... ugh. Moral of the story: don't trust the inventory reports.

Checked the Athens store, also showed 'limited availability' as of last night... it's likely someone picked the last one up this morning before I got there, as the employee remembered it being there earlier in the week. He even checked on hand counts via upc, but they were definitely out of stock.

Will check after work. The one next to me says limited, but I looked before and they had none. There is another 15 minutes away that says limited too. I just want to add something to my shelf.

Went to my Target last night after seeing "limited availability" on the site to check it out. After searching for way too long I didn't find anything. Figured I had nothing to lose and asked an employee who said he sold the last one Monday. Lame.

Did see SW:TFU2 but don't care to buy that game. Also found a copy of Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition for somewhere around $13. After seeing the trade-in value on amazon, I'm thinking I'll try to go pick that up.

Me either, but I couldn't convince my 11 year-old son about that. I got him the Legendary Edition for Christmas back when Amazon had it for $60 or $70. I told him he could sell the code (I would have sold it for him on my eBay account) and then use that $40 or $50 on something else. He declined and said he wanted to redeem it as that was the main reason he wanted the Legendary Edition to begin with. Now, of course, he is clamoring for money to buy other stuff (Halo Mega Bloks, actually - there is a $40 "Battlescape" set coming out this weekend). I told him next time maybe he should listen to me, as I know a little bit of what I'm talking about when it comes to video games and their values ;).[/QUOTE]

For sure. In my opinion, most (there are some exceptions) downloadable content is "content that is being withheld". There's really no excuse to not put something as simple as extra costumes/skins in the game itself.

What's I find interesting is that people are willing to pay $40-$50 for JUST the code alone... when the actual game itself costs less. To each his own though.

Good luck. You should have checked Monday or yesterday :)
