Halo: Reach
thought you were high ranked and knew how to farm/boost like the pros?
this guy at this rate will run out of commendations before Thanksgiving.

http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/default.aspx?player=xXSAVIORS0ULXx
His playtime is insane. A total of 20 days and 11 hours worth of playtime. The game has only been out for 50 days!

Assume you're sleeping/eating/doing whatever else for 12 hours a day, and thus have 12 hours a day of "free time." That gives you a total of 600 hours over the past 50 days in which you could play Halo. That kid has played Halo for 491 of those 600 hours. Insane.
Wow. I play this game way too much, and I'm at 3 days and 18 hours. He's at 7 days and 8 hours.
Actually, he's at 7 days and 8 hours of playing nothing but Firefight...

it's possible he's sharing his xbox (not that I'm defending the gamer), I mean I've gone on videogame stints where I play for more hours than I'd prefer to write down but not on a daily basis like that. Figure if he has siblings they're just switching on and off...what did learn from this?

...we know what the General rank insignia looks like. lol

Looking at that guys game history..... 4th mission has a good nade spot, and 10th mission has a good spot to get a wraith and kill around 100 guys in 15 minutes.

LOL someone told me to go outside because im a brigadier. Obvious jealousy is obvious. Seriously, if i saw a guy 3 ranks higher than me, good for him. If he enjoys playing the game then let him. Im not going to tell him how to live his life.

Seems like they beefed up how much cR you get. Ive been getting 900-1500 ish points in multi-team and swat games. Anyone else notice this?

you get bonus cR depending on your rank, the higher the rank you are the more cR you will earn. Also they have a completion bonus, the more games you stay without dropping out the higher the chances you will be awarded more completion "jackpot" cR. League of Legends gave a small bonus to IP (their version of cR) for complete game streaks.

I hate people that say to go outside/get a life.

Even if someone does spend alot of time playing, who cares? If someone is fortunate enough to be able to do that it's none of their business.

Speaking of stats.

http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/Default.aspx?player=tbhysgb&sg=0

I need to get over 1000 kills in matchmaking and a few more hours of playtime. I just realized how little I play this game. I do enjoy it, but I'm not finding anything that keeps me coming back. Maybe I need to force myself to play.

Forcing yourself to play is worse in my opinion than when people ask "If you complain so much about the game why play it?".

I'm literally a sliver away from Commander and don't really care to hit the rank.
Maybe I need to force myself to play.
Gaming (and any hobby) is supposed to be fun. You should never have to "force" yourself to spend time on a game or any other hobby.

If it's not grabbing you, ditch it and spend time on things you do enjoy.

Yea true, that's one of the reasons I ultimately decided against Black Ops. It happened with MW, WaW and MW2. I always enjoyed the online for awhile, then I just wasn't interested in it anymore. However if there's a game I truly enjoy I don't get sick of it.

I figure it's better to just play Reach when I want some multiplayer action and just save the anticipation for a new game for Socom 4.

I don't think it's games in general either, I picked up ME2 last night on 360 and so far I'm having alot of fun with it. Anyway, does anyone know when Grifball is being added to the playlists? I've been wanting to play that for awhile, but I usually only play custom games with my sister and her husband which isn't enough for bigger custom games.

WOW This guy SAL6892 is on my team, quits right away. Then sends me a message saying "u have no life if your a brigadere". (yes he spelled it wrong) I dont reply and five minutes later he sends me another message saying "ur a fuckin loser". LOL So i gave him bad rep and filed a complaint over texting me messages.

They originally said GBall was coming in the November update then sometime in October they said 'Winter' which will more than likely be in December. I know they need to do all their legal bullshit and test and whatever other crap they have to do to implement the playlist in, but honestly, it's been done by Grifball hub for a while now Bungie literally has most of their work done for them.

LOL I wish I got hatemail randomly like that it's too funny. I got a bunch of voice messages from this asian guy on Bad co 2 cuz I kept finding him and knifing him and he said he was gonna report me to EA and Microsoft for spawn camping and get me banned cuz I have no life and that his 12 year old son was playing.

Then he kills me one time and sends me another message talking about how does it feel that you just got killed by a 12 year old hahahahahaha.

Doesnt sound like Grifball Hub has come up with the maps and modes they want to submit yet though. Hopefully before Christmas. Seems like Bungie has thrown in the towel for November anyway.
WOW. She said 1, 2 and 3 were all good yet also has a video titled Halo 3 sucks.

Anyway I plan on being on some time this weekend. Have they updated matchmaking for coop in campaign mode yet?
Yes they have

hey now. didn't notice at first but the assault/commando comes with a fanny pack in the back. Looks like all the chest pieces from commander up have some sort of extra attachment on the belt or something (that i've noticed, unless it's the arm then that is an attachment all it's own).

You shouldn't take her serious, I went ahead and watched some of her others videos and she states that almost every game sucks.

Well I think finally some of the fun has worn off after playing Reach straight from release. Today just hopped on to finish the high credit challenges and then popped in some Bioshock.

Bring on Black Ops.

Yeah, that's all I've been doing for 2 or 3 weeks now. Just popping on, knocking out some easy, high credit challenges and then doing something else.

Yeah actually in a way its kind of a relief to not be playing Reach all the time. Now I can look forward to some other games instead. It sucks that in the meantime you loose your skill level somewhat but you gotta take the good with the bad.

I hate being put on terrible teams, just makes me mad.

http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/GameStats.aspx?gameid=294925174&player=tbhysgb

Notice the two teammates who only managed 3 kills between them? One even had a goose egg. I'm not the greatest halo player, but that was one of the worst games I've had in quite awhile lol. Me and that Blind guy were trying to do something, but they were swarming. I should've had a few more kills but that game went so fast, 50-23 >.> Oh well

Oh and don't even get me started on fucking sword base. That map is really the only one in this game I truly hate, and it's hard for me to really hate a map. If a team gets control of the lift with the sword and shotty they usually win. Then you get people camping in that room by the stairwell and since that's the only way to get to them it's just horrible. I wouldn't lose sleep if I never saw that damn map again. Of course it's just as easy to stay away from the lift, but not like when I said above they're camping that one room. I'm not the one to camp and wait unless they're being aggressive. I'm a run and gun type player.

Yeah, oddly though I've done better the few times I've played MP after not playing much.

Probably just dumb luck, or maybe they tweaked the true skill matching with the update and I'm getting put up against more comparable players than before.

+1 for hopping on, doing the easy challenges, and signing off. Although doing the 1000 kill weekly challenge in three days last week is probably a major cause of that. :\

I've heard people complain about this a few times and I don't quite get it. So two of their players want to camp in the lift room. So what? Don't go in there. That's two of their players not getting kills. They can't win if they camp, focus on the other two players. 4 vs. 2 are pretty good odds.

If you feel the need to take the room, your team has 8 grenades at your disposal. Have a guy with a BR across the way (above the Shotty/Plasma Grenade room) and flush them out with grenades while he takes them out with the BR.

Maybe it's just me, but I can count on one hand how many times the other team controlled that room. Just ignore them and the problem solves itself. I don't get the need to rush in there.

Yeah, controlling that room is kind of meaningless, unless you're playing Oddball. Even then, just toss a shit load of grenades in there. It's a tight space, so it's kind of hard for anyone to avoid 3 or 4 of them thrown in there. It's definitely frustrating to go up the vent and then get hit with the sword or something, but now you know there are in there, so don't go there.

It's not just that. Two people in the lift room and the other two camping in the room across the hall. One camps the stairwell and the other camps the doorway. Those two spots aren't always guaranteed, but they can damage you nicely if you do live. And I normally don't feel the need to take the room, I hate that room. I hate camping. But like I said usually the other two on their team is camping nearby. If I have to pull back and wait out the game, so be it. It's just not fun. Not to mention the rest of your team keeps using the lift/ falling into their camp trap over and over so it's pointless.

Now after I get whacked once I tend to pull back, but that's not fun. The game turns into a stalemate. Swordbase is pretty much the only map I don't like to play. I'll play it on Swat or whatever, but I hate it on Slayer.

Nice 6,000 credits for two challenges done in Gruntpocalypse--250 kills and 35 multi kills in one match. The latter was more of a pain--didn't get it until my 5th round of G-poc. Was getting 28-32 or so before. But I guess I should have expected it to be kind of tough since 35 multi kills means 70 kills out of a max of 120 have to be part of a multi kill.

Grind through the Major Ranks is seeming slow--still working my way up to 1st grade. Only 25,000 between, just getting sick of the game and feeling like a grind up to Lt Col to get that achievement.

The new armor is from the cap being lifted, so you unlock more from being a higher rank. I dont think they added any armor that wasnt already on the disc at launch.

Hmm thats odd. My Recon helmet is locked and i ahve to buy it for 100,000 cR. But i already had it unlocked from the gamestop code, i even purchased the UA/HUL[3] attachment. You cant buy attachments for helmets you havent bought. Wonder why its like that?

the Recon helmet with the preorder was the attachment (w/helmet), the base helmet w/out any attachments is separate and costs 100,000 cR.

I think I might sell this. :/ I'm just having no interest in it whatsoever nowadays. I'm sure the whole no-internet has something to do with it, and I'll regret it later, but I just wasn't having fun last time I was playing.

I'm really disappointed nowadays with gaming on my TV, since I found out that the reason I'm having all that input lag is because, well, a good HDTV for games is one that has a 4ms or below response time, and mine has...8. Double the lag. No wonder I could never get Rock Band to calibrate correctly.

Took me 3 tries, and it went like this: 32, 34 (ouch) and 35 (got #35 on the last two enemies) Fuel Rod gun helped a ton because you can get 3-4 multikills at a time at the beginning of each wave.

I'm halfway to Lt. 25k more to go.

yay! simple, straight fwd, and one free cR challenges today!

saw a couple of eva[c] helmets last night, I don't see what all the fuss/hate is for them. it looks cool. not zomgwtfbbq the end all of helmets, but I like the shiney dome helmets.

Yep, I was using the Fuel Rod gun as well. Part issue was getting the 4 and 5 kills instead of 2 and wasting enemies some times!

I did my best to pace my shots with the dmr in gruntpoc, I think I got 38 double kills and a few triple kills...I wasn't positive if triple kills or greater counted towards the multikill challenge. Customize your Spartan gave me a chuckle...and I know ppl will still complain that it wasn't challenging enough. hahaha
