Hamburgers are the Hummers of food in global warming

Only in Fat-Ass America could someone manage to fit Hamburger into the same sentence with "Hummer" (sexual connotation).

Would you like a Blowjob with that?
I'd heard Pea Protein was just as good as Whey if not better. So if you haven't you might want to just give it a shot.
Awesome thank you for the idea. I had never even seen this sold. But a quick google search and sure enough a 4lb tub goes for around $40 about the same cost as whey. I'll have to look into this more.

No problem. I'll look and see if the Pea Protein container is even cheaper for ya around here ok? Because the store right around me sells it.

Yeah, but goats stand still longer than cows. You could sell your Wii.

...

The biggest problem I've heard about with goats is that they eat roots of pasture grassed. So, you have to reseed pasture fields more often than with cows.

I'd seriously like to meet the first human that thought it would be a good idea to start squeezing animal parts and drinking whatever came out.

Milk is gross, btw.
Yeah, but goats stand still longer than cows.
Definitely untrue. Goats are, as I said, assholes - and they're assholes that love to test your fences. And headbutt people.

Remember, kids: C&H is timeless and timely, always applicable to every situation in life.

TC has the right idea - I imagine it didn't take long for early man to realize that woman tits and cow tits were somewhat similar.

I'm more interested in how cheese got created. Who thought to let something sit around and rot for several months?

Goat with its head stuck in a fence? Sounds like consent to me.

Goats are far more caring and intelligent than cows. Any non-playful headbutting is done by the bucks, which you want to keep separate from your does and wethers anyway. They will test fences though, so you have to have good ones.

They're really not fickle eaters, but I haven't seen them tear up roots for food either. I never had to reseed any of my pastures.

Goat milk is already homogenized when it comes out, and after pasteurization-which can be done in a microwave-it's safe for consumption. And tasty. Makes good ice cream too.

Even disregarding the idea of global warming, milk is still a wasteful food source:

Cow's milk is an inefficient food source. Cows, like humans, expend the majority of their food intake simply leading their lives. It takes a great deal of grain and other foodstuffs cycled through cows to produce a small amount of milk. And not only is milk a waste of energy and water, the production of milk is also a disastrous source of water pollution. A dairy cow produces 120 pounds of waste every day -- equal to that of two dozen people, but with no toilets, sewers, or treatment plants.

i've given up red meat and dairy altogether and lost 15 pounds in a month with other proper diet too. turkey and chicken are my two best friends now.

Beef facts for those that think they can't give it up:
does anyone realize farm cows are kept alive through hormones and antibiotics to fight off atrophy from never moving? they're only killed right before they die of it. make sure you're eating/buying free range and organic beef. farm cows have 500% more saturated fat than free range and are injected with FDA-approved hormone IG1-F known to cause cancer in order to fatten them up and make more milk. free range cows get exercise and can't be injected with hormones, so less fat and less profitable for farmers. eat white meats like chicken and turkey more often, they're healthier. Pork is the worst meat you can eat, they eat filth and have a very short digestion tract, so their body absorbs bacteria their stomach can't. then, we ingest their meat. why do you think pork goes bad so quickly? there was a woman that went to the doctor and he found a tumor in her brain. when they operated, they found it wasn't a tumor, but a parasitic worm. She ingested it through a piece of pork and it was living off of her. pigs are very unclean and unsafe to consume as any bottom feeder is (shrimp, catfish, lobster, etc.)

Milk facts for those of you not able to give up milk/cheese/ice cream, etc.:
dairy is one of the worst things to eat. do you realize milk contains 59 active hormones, along with measureable amounts of blood, puss, feces, herbicides, antibiotics, viruses, etc? we are the only mammal that drinks milk past the nursing age, and ANOTHER mammal's milk at that! what about the calcium though? funny thing is the calcium in cow's milk can't be absorbed by our bodies because it's too course, isn't this the only good thing claimed about milk? calcium in cow's milk comes from the grass they eat. why don't we get our calcium from greens? seaweed contains more calcuim than milk, more iron than beef and more protein than eggs. calcium's also tied up with casein, a main ingredient for glue and in processed foods to hold their shape. such foods as special k, canned tuna, weight watchers smart ones all use casein. casien forms a thick mass in the stomach that is hard to digest, preventing the absorbtion of nutrients we need. Ear infections in children are now scientifically 100% attributed to milk consumption, nothing else. 20% of cows carry a leukemia virus that humans can catch. allergies, asthma and chronic sinusitis linked to milk. milk drinkers are six times more likely to have heart attacks, strokes and high blood pressure. 75% of world doesn't drink milk. what about cheese and ice cream? it only gets worse: cheese is 10 times more dense and ice cream 12 times and butter 21 times more dense than milk, thus multiplying all those harmful factors that much more.

so now you're probably not wanting to eat dairy, what do you do? sesame seeds, seaweed, lentils, beans, nuts, leafy greens, figs, dates and prunes are all the BEST sources of calcium. also, eat products made from sheeps and goats milk. their milk is made up differently than a cow's and can be absorbed and processed by our bodies properly. only products from COW'S milk are dairy. feta cheese is a mix of goat's and sheep's milk. I love goat cheese. it tastes like cream cheese, which i've always loved. I'll make goat cheese pizzas, put it in salads, etc. i use soymilk for cereal now.

That article on Dairy is a bunch of shit. Casein is a fantastic source of protein. It gels in the stomach which slows its digestion, this is true, but that makes it a slow acting protein. Perfect for long periods when you can't eat. Let's not forget Whey, which is even more biologically available than even egg albumen. Both of which are COMPLETE proteins and have high levels of Branch Chained Amino acids. I have a low bodyfat, a measured LDL (recently) value of 87, my blood pressure is fine, I have no heart/kidney/lung issues, a low resting heart rate, and I take in over 300 grams of protein a day which is about 50% from dairy sources (I don't count eggs, otherwise it'd be about 60%).

Full milk products ARE loaded with saturated fat, this is true, but if you're not a lazy fuck-all it's not a problem. Saturated fat is a risk, but it's also necessary for males as it works in a synergistic fashion with dietary cholesterol to aid in testosterone production. that's another issue I have with this crap. The whole "EGGS ARE BAD THEY HAVE CHOLESTEROL" thing. I eat at least 4 dozen eggs a week, whole eggs, and once again my LDL levels are low and so are my triglycerides. I get blood work done every two months to keep up on it, so I know it's not a random fluctuation.

I don't mind people not eating dairy, but trying to scare people into not eating it is ridiculous. Did you know soy contains phytoestrogens that act like Estradiol in the human blood stream? There have been reports of guys getting gyno (bitch tits) from eating soy. And yet, it doesn't happen to most people. Why? Because it's an extreme case, and it's only to scare people into not eating it.

I thought the current fad, at least for the last century, is to shape reality through scientific consensus. At least. that's how many threads around here have ended.

You're a weird dude, some sort of ultra-conservative hippie.

Anyway I agree - time to go get my daily curried steamed vegatables and brown rice.

You have to use food like a tool. Use the right tool for the job.

Complex carbs/fiber/mono and polyunsaturated fats spread throughout day for sustained energy and good heart health.
Simple carbs post-workout for instant feeding of muscles.
Protein every 3 hours (at least) for building/rebuilding muscles.
All in the right moderation.

Although one thing I would never eat is red meat. There are plenty of other sources of better more biologically available lean protein.

I've never been one to eat for fun.

I remember one time I was outside my friends apartment complex about to go in and I look in through the window and see him just laying there staring at the ceiling eating doritos. I was like "what the fuck?"

I won't eat stuff if it's gross but I will eat stuff if it doesnt necesarily taste good but it is good for you. One of the main parts of my breakfast is steel-cut oatmeal. It takes a half hour to cook and tastes like, well, cardboard almost. But it is excellent for you. It's all complex carbs. Not a single gram of sugar. Very little saturated fat. Has all sorts of health benefits.

Me too. If it doesn't taste good, what's the point?

It's like having sex with a fat girl just because she has a vagina.
I often skip several meals, sometimes go a whole day, without eating if there is nothing 'exciting' to eat.
I like tools. And food. Food is good.

Tools let me do stuff and food lets me eat stuff.

And Kayden, don't overlook big girls. They're usually quite appreciative.

I'm on a fat restricted diet; no munching tubbies for me.

Eating well will not make you look like Ken Shamrock. Eating red meat will not make you look like Saggy McBitchtits.

You can eat well and still look like Titties McGutly. Conversely, you can eat ice cream and dog shit and look like Mr Fantastic.

I've seen a lot of slovenly vegans and I've seen a lot of buff guys that eat nothing but junk food.

You can eat vegan and still have terrible health.

Even if you precisely measure every nutritional need and exercise regularly, some people are still chubby. There is no 100% solution.

But with strength training you have to eat a certain way. Like the oatmeal deal I explained before. I don't like eating it but to stay in this shape it's really a staple (sadly for my tastebuds)

But, yeah, my wife is vegan and she is definitely not the image of health. She has a cold right now and she looks like like Lydia from the beetlejuice cartoon. I try to get her to train with me sometimes and I'm astonished at how little weight she has to start off with/use.

You green-only girlscouts can complain about being fit and healthy on stupid plants all you want, because at the end of the day, your farts smell much, much worse than mine.

Kayden is sort of channeling Lewis Black here - everyone's health is different, and it just requires trying to pay attention to what your body says to figure that out.

my article was not to scare, but educate. too many of us just eat anything because it tastes good without knowing the potential hazards. casein IS bad because it clogs the stomach, who needs to eat it for reasons of not being able to eat for a long time? how is that beneficial when you can't absorb the nutrients you need because of the casein? you know what else are complete proteins that don't come with the downfalls of dairy? Fish, eggs, chicken breast, turkey breast, lean red meat (top round, lean sirloin, and flank), and whey (as you mentioned). my point is why eat something bad for you to get nutrients you can get from many foods good for you? you're right about cholestoral, it's not from food. it's a hormone issue, it means your body's trying to repair itself from damage to it's circulatory system. i eat 3-6 eggs a day myself. yes i know about soy containing phytoestrogens so i keep it limited, don't need man boobs, ya know?
That's an awful lot of scary stories without any scientific evidence in the way of links.

I thought the current fad, at least for the last century, is to shape reality through scientific consensus. At least. that's how many threads around here have ended.
scary? i guess, truth can be sometimes. scientific links? you think i got all this off the net? i attend a fitness and nutrition class every week and my nutritionist has 20 years of education under her. what i wrote are simply a few things i've learned in the last couple months from her studies. all this can be read on the net if you want to, i don't have the time or imagination to make this stuff up. just trying to shed some light in the darkness. none of us seem to know how to eat, one of the most basic essentials of life. it's sad. how do animals know what to eat in the wild? we should be the same, it should be natural. all of our processed food is killing us. studies can literally follow the introduction of western foods around the world and see it's effects in the form of disease. heart disease, osteoperosis, diabetes, etc., things never seen in the countries, are showing up as western food is introduced.
You green-only girlscouts can complain about being fit and healthy on stupid plants all you want, because at the end of the day, your farts smell much, much worse than mine.

Kayden is sort of channeling Lewis Black here - everyone's health is different, and it just requires trying to pay attention to what your body says to figure that out.
i think we all know the farter has the last laugh when the fartee smells their toxic healthy farts. you should smell my stink-bombs.

There's only one force on this planet powerful enough to wake Godzilla, and it's no damned atom bomb.

I do skip on the beef though, ever since James Brown told me to.
