GGC = Gamer's Gift Card, found on the back of one type of Best Buy Gift Card near the checkout line. It's in a cd case, and the back of it has a $5 off of any game $19.99 & higher. And no, it won't work on two $9.99 games unless you find a clueless cashier.
 
Gamer Gift Card...you buy one and inside there is a coupon for 5 off 19.99 tho it used to work with any priced game. After reading the previous posts maybe it still does. Can someone clairfy this.

Also, some Best Buy stores no longer carry this type of gift card, but I just checked mine last week, and it does, once again, carry it, although there was a 6 month lapse when it didn't. The front of the gift card / cd case says something like "Video Games" on it. Search around. If it's not there, sometimes it's on top of the aisle dividers at the video games themselves.

yea well if you read my post earlier I got a totally clueless cashier. I clearly stated I wanted to add money to the 2 GGCs then he just went ahead and took 10 bucks off my 2 9.99 games and set the GGCs aside.

I've tried that before a year ago, and got denied. The wording on the coupon says "any videogame software or accessory $19.99 and up". Since they don't pluralize it, they are, indeed, correct.

BTW - when you get the gift card, I find that putting $5 on the cards gets you "no questions asked" service, unlike putting $0.01 on it. Since you have to spend at least $14.99 (minus tax) to use the card anyway, you should put up to $14.99 on it and not worry about it.

I just put a penny on it, since I don't know when I'll use the coupon or the card.

I once got asked about it, and I told the cashier I just wanted the coupons... she laughed, and did it anyways.

Wow, spent my allowance (I'm 39 and we're on a budget now, so my gaming now has to come out of my bi weekly stipend...) got Frantix for 9.99, gba video for son for 1.99, Frogger Helmet Chaos for DS for 9.99 and splurged and got Metroid Pinball for 19.99...I have just enough left in my allowance to pay the balance on Syphon Filter for my PSP tomorrow...then I've got to go another week with about $20.00 in my pocket. Worth it, great find OP.

It's pretty nice. Right now, it also works with Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, but other games will probably be supporting it as time goes on.

Well I know it works with Animal Crossing for the fishing rumble that was in the GC version.

best part about this is rise of the kasai trades in for like 11.75 at game crazy and geist trades in for 18.00. if you have an mvp card add 10% to each.

i picked up both of those games because it's a win win situation. if their short or if they suck i come out with more than what i spent. rules for sure.

oh yeah, plz don't hoard because of that.
 
Harvest Moon: More Friend... is the girl version just so you all remember.

I also heard that the rumble pack works with the Super Peach in America, but not the Japanese version.

Hell I am getting 2 more copies of Rise of Kasai now. That will help me pay for my 360 VGA cables.
 
Bleh, no Harvest Moon:More Friends or Metroid Prime Pinball (even though it's what's in the display DS) at the local Best Buy, but they had TONs of Geists, so I grabbed one of those.
 
i played about an hour of geist. it's unfortunate how crappy the game turned out. such a great idea done so poorly. plus the game looks like an early ps2 game.
 
Anyone know if any of these games get any decent credit at Gamerush? I know Geist gets $12 so thats not much good. Could Beatdown be one of those games that has slipped through the Gamerush system and still gets $24 in trade? :)
 
Judyjudyjudy, if no one else mentioned this already, Geist is $9.98 at Toys R Us. It should be universal across the chain, but don't quote me on it.

Also, did anyone else notice that in one of the ads(don't remember if it was BB or CC), they showed the GH version of GOW and GT4. But instead of the $19.99 price, they listed it as $39.99?

Picked up Pac n Roll, was thinking about Frogger, but I am not sure it is worth it, even though it received decent reviews.

Both Ridge Racer and Pac 'n Roll are OOS now. Geist is still in stock so I did pick that one up.
 
When I picked up my copy of Rise of Kasai, I deceided to see if Killer 7 was in and I got that last copy in the Madison, WI west side store (On the floor anyway...don't know if they had more in the back or not). I think I bought it on the price alone, I don't remember it getting good reviews except to say that the game was pretty. At least I'm not out much from a $10.

Heck.. I bought Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness because it was only $5! (For the record.. I still haven't opened it up yet.)

Kinda pissed that Killer 7 is OOS... I could've jumped right on it but my ISP is having some issues, so random things decide they don't want to load. Like Hotmail or Best Buy's checkout system.

At least someone was kind enough to order Geist for me.

The first hour is the worst part of the game. The cool gameplay ideas come through really strong in the middle of the game. It's a pretty cool game and definitely worth $10. If you still hate the single player mode, try the multiplayer (the game has bots for you to play with) ... it's really unique.

I posted this in another thread but just in case your making a trip anyway...Medievil Ressurection (PSP) is $19.99. I picked it up in store for $15 with the GGC.

really? i mean, im just offended with the fact that when you fire occasionally you'll hear absolutely no gun shot sound. plus the AI is retarted.
 
ok looks like the bestbuy in store availability is inacurate I saw Beatdown in store and it said not available online.
 
yeap the store locator is messed up .... they said they didnt have the PSP game here locally.... Saw it at best buy... went over to CC told them to call and got it for 9 bucks

I picked up Metroid Pinball and Frooger.I also picked up Lost in Blue for DS for $27.08.Is lost in Blue really hard to find? The Bestbuy i went to still have 3 copies left over and i seen over 8-13 gut copies from Ebgames or gamestop. I also saw racing gears advance,but it rang up $30.It was priced way more then I expected for an old game.
