Make sure you pick it up on 360, budge.

I want to smash your head with a brick. -giggles-

They're switching the combat system up, Liq, making the game a bit more fast paced than the first. I think it'll work, and it'll be $$$.

David Lynch is awesome. My favorite director.

Oddly enough, I've seen almost all of his movies but have never seen Twin Peaks.

Anyway - Mullholland Drive is probably the most accessible movie he's done.

Is there a video of it or something?

Got a job, got a life,
Got a four-door and a faithless wife.
Got those nice copper pipes, got an ex,
Got a room for the night.
Aren't you such a catch?
What a prize! Got a body like a battle axe,
Love that perfect frown, honest eyes,
We ought to buy you a Cadillac.

there were some over at gametrailers or something... but they looked pretty horrid to me. :\

Called Verizon due to a problem on my bill and dude said I'm eligible to get phone/tv/internet (fios) for $99/month with a 2 year commitment. If the early term. fee is something around $100 I think I'm gonna do that.

I was thinking about seeing what Cox would offer me but I doubt they'd do better than $99/month and fios is better anyway.

I'll kill you, penguin.

I want Fios too.
what happened on the news yesterday, #83? :p
:applause:

Giants and Patriots are going to the Super Bowl...No back to my intrawebs to find out more.

IGN has a couple up, Liq.

Don't listen to frosty, he has a gripe with every game that comes out that he hasn't even played yet. I don't think he has even played Condemned, so yeah. ;)

Be sure to ask Verizon about the free TV...It's a 19" LCD, iirc.

Yeah, I've seen that in their ads but I'm a current subscriber and I'm pretty sure they are very tight about giving that to non-nubs. But I could ask.

My aunt got fios and had the final install 2 weeks before that offer hit. She called up asking for the TV but they wouldn't do it. She said she'd just cancel and switch to cable. They said she could do that if she wanted but she'd be in the system and would not get the TV if she switched back down the road. She just sucked it up and stayed with fios.

Yeah I played DR for a bit and then set it aside for other games. Haven't gotten back into it yet but I'm hoping I'll like it.

The cheesemints are crap on that one so i think I need to tamp down my urges and just play it for the love of the game like I did back in the dark ages before GPs.

You're a current subscriber to something other than Fios, Phone, TV right? ;)

I just punched in my address and they tell me my area is not available for High Speed...even though I use thier High Speed DSL...

What are your thought on Oblivion?
Dead Rising was a terrible game.
Truer words were never spoken, boy. And that is because I yearn for ass kicking zombie games.

I got in huge trouble once. (not really)

The first day of Pre-K I had to take the bus home and I was supposed to find my brother in the 5th grade hallway, then head on over to the bus zone area. Well, I found him, we got to the bus, took our seats and waited to leave. I was sitting in the back with my brother when some big jerky guy walked up and said ''Get out of here, little kids sit in the front.'' I was about to get up, but my brother said ''Don't get up, just stay there.'' So I stayed there, twiddling my thumbs and knocking my shoes together (I couldn't even touch the floor :() when the big jerky guy dropped his bookbag on my face and then fists started flying between him and my brother. I started crying while they were slugging each other right on top of me and the police had to come to give us all a lecture on fighting and how we could have been arrested if I was 17+. I was never allowed to ride the bus again. The jerky kid got his ass beat and thrown into the dirty canal a few days later by my brother and his gang of thugs.

All I wanted was to sit in the back of the bus with the cool kids.

I started Oblivion and really didn't like it. Hopefully it's just a boring bit in the beginning.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker is $25 shipped at Amazon today. Decisions. I love Pokemon but this one seems more complicated. I dunno.

Speaking of DQ, I wonder when that on-rails DQ Wii game is coming out. That looks decent.

Not really feeling the MP trailer. Single player looks great though.
I like the main character's decent into what he's become.

You weren't allowed to ride the bus for not getting up? That's strange.

You should find that guy sometime.

What an asshole:

 • TapNrack shot you with a pistol for 5 damage. (23 hours and 5 minutes ago) ...and again. ...and again. ...and again. ...and again. ...and again. ...and again. • You took a Headshot from TapNrack the Zombie Hunter! You will need to spend an extra 5AP to stand up. (23 hours and 4 minutes ago)

I checked into it, and found out that they won't do Internet-only for U-Verse, it has to be bundled with TV. Plus, the max speed for Internet, at the moment, is 6MB.

I told them I'm sorry I don't live in a Verizon area.

Nope, I'm a current subscriber on verizon fios for all 3. I have to say I love the service although it's a bit pricey for me. But that $99/month deal would bring it down to a sweet price point. I think with the STBs I currently rent it would work out to about $135 (plus taxes I guess?)
What are your thought on Oblivion?
The game is strangely addictive for me. At first I would play for an hour or two and think "Bleh I need to stop playing this game it's just the same shit over and over." Then a bit later or the next day I'd find myself compulsively popping it back in. Now I've just accepted that I'm hooked.

I think it's because there are a ton of quests you can do at any one time and it doesn't fuck around (for the most part) with making you hunt around with where to go to advance on them.

Also it's amazing to me that you can play the game in several different ways (i.e. a warrior type that just bashes things with weapons, a mage that fires off spells, a thief that sneaks around and tries to take enemies by surprise, a fast dude that uses a bow, etc.) and that all of the speech is fully voiced. I mean there is a ton of speech in this game.

One issue where I live is that by some irritating situation, I can only get 3MB DSL service to my house. U-Verse would take that up to 6MB, though as I said earlier, they wouldn't do Internet-only on it in my area.

For the cheapest U-Verse package, I'd get some of the 20MB/20MB packages Verizon's been selling in some areas for Internet only.

I'd heard U-Verse is much more about AT&T getting TV out to its subscribers much more than faster Internet speeds, though there's no way they're going to get me to jump on it if they're going to force me to get the TV with it.

At this rate, I might have to go to Charter for faster Internet, and that's not something I'd want to look at.

shrike - My main complaint with that $99 deal (at least based on the details I have now) is it doesn't include even one standard STB which you need to watch the programming. Seems a little silly and a true $99 plan should include at least one HD box since they are advertising it as HD television, high speed internet and phone all at one great price.

If Cox would offer that same deal at $99 per it would probably work out to somewhere between $15 and $25 cheaper since I would only need one STB but like I said fios is better anyway.

This was on wikipedia's entry for the WNBA: "Interestingly, the average height of a WNBA player dropped from about 184 centimeters to 183.5 centimeters from the 2006 season to the 2007 season." Wow!

Why are you looking up WNBA on Wikipedia?
Why are you looking up WNBA on Wikipedia?
Because it's FANtastic?

Actually because I was reading a column today and the guy mentioned the WNBA has now been around for over 10 years. So that got me curious to read about it.

I'm not much of a fan of women's basketball - no way am I watching WNBA on TV... But I did go to the MD - Duke women's basketball game last week. That was awesome.

If it's really trying to get you to a $99 plan that includes HD TV viewing, then they'd have to give you at least one STB.

I think my next move will be the slow replacement of all my Tivo's to Tivo HD's, as they have the issues with the multi-room viewing taken care of, and I'm tired of all my issues with the IR fingers for cable box control.
