I've decided to upgrade my 20 gb drive on my xbox and saw that I can get around using the transfer cable if I back up to a thumb drive. I don't have any larger than 1 gb, but have plenty of SD cards that are 16 gb for my camera. Does anyone know if I can plug it into a card reader and do the transfer, or am I stuck grabbing a used cable and returning it?

Ive hooked up a micro sd card that was inserted into a usb drive and was able to transfer stuff, although i didnt back up the whole drive on it.
