Harmony 676

CAGiversary!
Anybody have any personal experience with these? I've read some reviews on it, but I wouldn't mind having some opinions from someone in the CAG community.

I found a refurb one for $52 shipped. Is that a good deal for this remote?

Agreed. I got my 550 on amazon from pcrichards for 50 bucks.

i have the 676 for the living room and the 550 for the gameroom. In my experience, the 676 needs a more direct line of sight to work on any of my equipment. Sometimes it takes several button presses to get it to register what I want it to do, like turn up the volume or change the channel, which is frustrating. It also feels a little bulky and cheap, which is weird because it's way more expensive msrp wise than the 550.

But the 550 on the other hand I can point it in any direction, even away from my equipment and it still works. It typically registers what I'm trying to do on the first try. It's thinner, so to me it feels a little more high techy. I also like the blue lights it has. It works way better than the 676 does in my experience.

I would get the 550 over the 676 anyday.

I don't have a line of sight issue with my 676. I've had it for 2 years and love it. The 550 is nice but button layout on the 676 I feel is better. I did get my inlaws the 550 and they do love it. I think either one would be an excellent choice. Once you go Harmony you'll never go back;-)

Any harmony is better than no harmony. Personally I wouldn't buy the 550 because of the button layout (dvr buttons too high) and it only has 4 lcd buttons instead of 6.

I owned a 659 (dvr buttons too low) but sold it to pay for a 670 I got a deal on. The 670 is on its last legs (Harmony + 3 year old + hardwood floors = bad mix) and I'm probably gonna replace it with a 720 unless a super sweet deal on a One pops up.
