Lately I've been wanting to try some Vitamin Water. I was just wondering if anyone here has had it, and if they liked it or not.
I've looked everywhere but I can't find it, and I was also wondering if this is an expensive product. The advertising has begun to eat me alive and I MUST try this stuff.

Got a free one from a promo van that was driving around campus near the end of May. It wasn't cold or anything when I tried it but the orange flavor was passable. To be fair, I'm not one for the flavored waters or whatnot but I thought it was at least decent enough. As for me I'll just stick to the usual stuff from the tap. ;)

Nothing special. I dont remember well, but I'd liken to watered down gatorade, but with a taste of artificial sweetening.

I didnt realize advertising actually DID that to people.

The advertising has had the opposite effect on me, to not want to buy it. My brother buys it and I tried it, it's nothing special, it's just like Propel or a water down gatorade. Unless you're a runner or play some sort of sport, I don't see why you would drink it.

Well, guess I'm going to be the first person to say try it. After all, there is a reason the beverage line was liberated by Coca-Cola.

Just don't judge the beverage by one flavor, each one actually taste different, contains different vitamins, and has a "cute" little story on the side. I'll be honest, some of the flavors (Grape, Citrus, and Green Tea for example) are acquired tastes.

It's fairly inexpensive, and is typically on sale for $1 a bottle, I'd suggest a Power-C or the XXX for a good first impression.

But really, it's fairly much a Gatorade without nearly as much sugar, therefore you taste the flavoring more instead of the sugar.

This stuff is terrible. It's not even a "poor man's Gatorade" which some would lead you to believe. Every flavor I've tried tastes like medicine or something - not good.

I really tried it for the first time a few days ago and the XXX flavor is tasty. Formula 50, although I hate the rapper, isn't bad either.

I usually hate flavored waters because of the Splenda aftertaste a lot of them have. But, I had some Vitamin Water that my wife bought, and I though it was actually pretty good. I don't remember the flavor, but yeah, what I had was alright.

I know I heard about it also. I drank it and it taste like rubitism or some sorta flavored water.

The honest truth is you can make your own vitamin water. Just buy your favoirte Vitamin ( mine is b12 I guess ) in power form. Mix it by daily amount or dosage and drink up.

I don't really think the so called watr is healthy. It is just a easy way to get children and young adults to drink water since all water taste ugly alone unless you head to the rockys.

Everyone in CA loves this stuff. Its in every gym and you can find it anywhere almost. It is technically a healthy beverage, the sugar is the fructose you get from fruit and not the usual corn syrup sweetener. I pick it over soda anyday.

I wouldn't call it a sports beverage really but theres certain flavors with high B vitamins so I guess it could be. I'd definitely drink it over gatorade, that shits loaded with sodium. Drink Powerade instead.

^i didn't know that :)

if you really want it go to your local k-mart

i haven't tried it myself, but my sister is crazy about it lol

Yea if you must have a sports drink, Powerade all the way. I don't remember the details exactly, but I read it in Men's Fitness in a review of sports drinks and specifically remembered the sodium content giving it that "delicious" taste of sweat. Gatorade will probably make you more thirsty and saltier to your loved ones

Makes me remember a Futurama quote "That's the saltiest thing I've ever tasted! And I once ate a big heaping bowl of salt!" - Fry

The Dragonfruit is tasty; ultimately, it's bourgeoisie gatorade - like Target is to Wal-Mart; same products, different class demographic.

I try to avoid these drinks because they're mostly bullshit sugar water your body doesn't need.

"HURRRR, it has electrolytes!"

I did accept a free promo bottle of "Accelerade" at the gym last week. Tasted like a fruit punch juicebox in grade school. Looking at the ingredients, it was pretty much "sugar, sugar, bullshit, preservatives, more bullshit, and a tiny tiny tiny bit of whey protein isolate." Avoid at all costs.

He's the reason I'll never drink the stuff. Worst person ever they could have chosen to advertise the stuff.

Lemonade is great, the others are meh. Water is better, but when you want something with a little flavor it's good - much better than Powerade light.

yeah they are pretty good, i like the revive blend. but ive stopped drinking them for the most part and drink a class of v8 after a night of drinking instead now. so i suggest v8.

I tried some when it was on sale, but at full price I'd rather have a Sobe or something that has the same stuff in it.

I'm addicted to the stuff. I don't buy them for the vitamins they claim to have in them, I could care less. I actually like the "watered down Gatorade" taste. It's not too sweet and quite refreshing.

I drink mostly water though...and a vitamin water or soda every now and then for that flavor/sugar fix.

I'd rather drink tap water. Besides the obvious cost factor, you can get all the same vitamins and more just by eating a balanced diet.

It's brilliant marketing, though. A watered down soft drink that costs as much or more than other soft drinks? I wish I'd have thought of that. Of course, if I had great money-making ideas, I wouldn't need to visit this site, lol.
