Has the Oldboy tin gone out of print?

CAGiversary!
I remember not picking this up at the last DDD sale because A) they were out of it, B) I wasn't expecting it to be apart of the sale, and C) I kind of had to cut my spending at that point. Right now, though, I'm looking for it and haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Yeah, I got mine at FYE on my birthday, which ruled because I got an additional 10% off on top of the 10% from backstage pass. One of the FYE's near me still had a copy in stock last time I was there.

I'd pick this up if it were in the $3x range, but not the insane amount of money they want on Amazon and eBay. I've never seen it, but as much as people say it's good, I'd straightaway buy the tin.

I also picked up a copy at FYE about a month ago. That seems like the best place to find it. I believe it was 34.99.

FYE, WHerehouse, Suncoast, or any other Transworld company should be able to order these, they are $19.99-$29.99 each @ B1G1 Free (YMMV on the B1G1)

bought one from amazon 29.99 :D..
ive never watched this movie but i dont mind subtitles especially if the story and directing is great
FYE should have these for $19.99-$29.99 & a YMMV B1G1F. Pretty good if you've got credit to burn.
Mine's selling it for $39.99
Nice but I don't understand why they would release a 2 disc set one being a SD. Why not use Blu-ray discs for film and extras.
The only reasoning I could see is this: Small-studio Asian cinema is usually a little more expensive on DVD then domestic films and I would imagine the same would be true for HD. Rather than get the double rape on BD, they are trying to cut us a break.

However, the guy the buys a film like this while a format war is going on is clearly either a collector or a giant fan of the film and/or genre and would rather have the extras in HD.

Or, simply, Tartan didn't have the resources to remaster all the extras. Who knows.

how many people actually got this from amazon and when did you order?
I ordered on the 12th & they sent me an email today with a new estimated shipping date of OCTOBER 29!

Amazon always overexagerates shipping information. They probably do it so people don't keep calling to complain about slow shipping, but, everything I order, even with the free shipping arrives in 2 or 3 days from release / ship date. I got House Of Games: The Criterion Collection DVD in the mail yesterday from Amazon (it was released on Tuesday, 8/21.) The expected arrival date was September 10th, some 17 days later than it arrived.
Prolly around $30-$40
that's it? He was only in the US once and I got his autograph then, I would think that with a rare autograph and a beloved movie it would be higher. I guess I will just keep it.
