Did a search and didn't see this posted, but may be worth it to anyone still looking.

This is a part of the current ad, which expires today (hence the 3/1 only in the title).

The 60GB PS3 is going for $499.99, but includes a $50 MIR and a free six-axis controller.

Additionally, there is a coupon on the ad for an additional $5 credit when you trade in any 5 items (CDs, books, games, etc). Hastings usually gives some great credit too. I know that Heavenly Sword, Drake's Fortune, Assassin's Creed, and Folklore are currently fetching $35.

My local Hastings still has 12 60GB units in stock, so good luck to the rest of you!

I think I remember reading that hastings' rebates are hit and miss. You might get it, you might not. I dunno for sure though. I'd like to grab this deal too, but I'm wondering if the MGS bundle would be better if software updates ever max out the BC.
 
The mail-in rebates do work, albeit they take a while. I bought my 60 GB PS3 from Hastings back in October when they were $499.99 with a $100 MIR and Heavenly Sword free, and got my check in mid-January.

Took about two and a half months from when I sent it in, but I finally got my $50 Hastings rebate recently. So, they come, they just take forever (as do most rebates).

Ya it's a good deal. Even with no rebate and just the free controller it's nice since it's a 60gb.
