Hi, I have a brand new/factory sealed Tactics Ogre for GBA. The game has the horizontal shrinkwrap line to ensure that it's real and it is of course a U.S. non-bootleg copy. I am not looking to sell only trade. I am looking for other SEALED GBA games to complete my collection, I have about 200 already and sadly I didn't make a list of what i have so just tell me what you would offer and we can work from there. I've only found one sealed copy online, which is on ebay for $60 and I'm willing to trade it for less than that worth of games. I have two major wants which I will do straight up for, which are Advance Wars I or Mario Advance 3, Yoshi's Island. Actually Sonic Pinball Party to. Please PM or post your offer. Thanks!

I think everyone is afraid to make offers for this... I don't think most people have enough to deal a good deal for your sealed TO Knight of Lodis.

I'd love to trade for it, BTW. But good luck finding anything on my list.;-)

Heh, I'm willing to listen to offers and get low balled a little. I've gotten some incredible deals here so why not pass one along. Anyway I did check out your list and the funny/sad part is I have all the GBA games you do except Riveria.

My big wants are Sonic Pinball Party and Advance Wars I which I can't find new sealed anywhere at any price, I'm hoping someone knows of one at a local store who has it and wouldn't mind picking it up for a trade. Otherwise I'm willing to take a couple less than steller games, all I care about is beefing up my collection.

Not that you need a bump at this point, but you having a sealed one impresses me. I was happy when I found a complete used one at Gamestop during a B2G1 sale some time back. Then again, it was hell getting the stickers off the box without utterly destroying it; Gamestop does love sticker residue...

Anyway, free bump. :)

Thanks, not that i need the bump either but why not. Every now and then I grab an extra copy of a rare game if i can afford. And right now I'm strapped for cash so I pull out one to trade. I have this thing about getting at least 15 GBA games a month or one every other day. (average, not literally) I want to finish this collection in 3 total years and im two months into the second, gotta step it up a bit.

I'm not sure I will ever understand what drives a person to collect like that... Then again, my dragons, anime, and books are staring at me, so I can't judge. :)

Out of stray curiousity, do you need a complete GBA Shining Force? I'm not interested in Tactics Ogre (hell, I have yet to play through MY copy), but you are a collector so I figured I'd ask.

I do have Shining Force and most of the other Atlus titles already, im sure there are others on this site that would love to have it though.

im too scared to get old sealed gba games cause it could be a bootleg. Even if the buyer dont think it is a bootleg dont mean the person they got it from isnt a bootleg. sealed line or not that dont mean a thing i seen some games that were sealed like that and still were bootlegs

Do you mean my particular game or GBA games in general. I did purchase 2 copies of this game instore not online so there is little doubt in my mind that these are the real deal. My copy, which I did open I can personally vouch for, it has all the official markings and signs that it's from nintendo. All the paperwork was inspected and everything was legit and the two games are identical. But I can understand any hesitation on CAGers part but I have good feedback here and I wouldn't jeopardize it and this community. (I have 6 now, but about 30 feedback on the old system, no neg).

If you mean in general, yeah, that's why I buy very mininally on ebay, only from U.S. sellers and always verify each game online and through my own collection to make sure it's consistent with that particular company. I am very anal about my collection and the fact that I only want sealed games just to make sure I get all paperwork and a clean box should be a testament to how commited I am not to get cheated or cheat anyone.

I've never seen a sealed bootler. Toronto is bootleg heaven and every single gba bootleg was unsealed.

I picked up these two at some ghetto k-mart not some backalley in Hong Kong and the game is only 3 years old, it's not a large stretch of the imagination that someone held onto a sealed copy for that long. I got them at the first real Kmart sale whenever that was, they weren't on sale but it's still a good investment. Besides, there are still people with legimate 8-bit Nintendo games that are new, I buy them sealed and i never had a problem yet.

I also have a sealed GBA tactics ogre, never got around to playing it. It's not odd that someone would still have one.

If i didn't know better, I'd get the impression everyone who wanted this already had it. Maybe I'll ebay this sucker and make twice what i paid for it, unless someone let me know they want it.

I wish I had some sealed GBA games to trade, but unfortunately all mine are opened. I sold my copy of Tactics Ogre way back when it still sold for $30-ish on ebay and have regretted it ever since. Anyway, good luck finding a trade! :)

I agree with a few of the posts here. Pirated GBA games do NOT come sealed and do NOT have manuals ever. If it was re-sealed by someone, it would not have the crease in the shrink wrap either.

Shrinkwrapped Gamecube games come in two types, from a Nintendo factory with the crease or folded corners, and resealed by a reseller. On occasion I have seen re-sealed games for sale at Best Buy and others. These games have a new UPC sticker over the old UPC on the box art. They need to take off the seal to get the new UPC sticker on them for whatever reason. These are not pirated games either.

As for the GBA games, I have never seen a pirate GBA game with a seal or manual. If you bought it at a US retail chain, then there is almost no way it is pirated.

In case someone wants to know, the fastest way to tell for sure if a game is authentic is to look for the words '200X Nintendo' printed in white on the circuit board just above the gold contacts where the cart goes into the system. You can see it with a flashlight without taking the cart apart.

A lot of those sellers selling on eBay say they include box, manual, and cart... I've never actually seen bootleg copies of a game.

bootlegs often come with a box and manual, the only difference is they almost always come unsealed bundled together.

OP I'm afraid the only sealed game I have is Riviera.

What you've said about GC shrinkwrap is true although i have been noticiing a lot more games coming with the reseal looking shrinkwrap, I wonder if there aren't certain companies who shrinkwrap there own game at a different company and have that instead.

As for GBA games, not all of them should have the horizontal seal. If you ever notice when you open up a GBA game the game will be in one of two places. Either there will be two pieces of cardboard in the corner in which two drop the game in, also seen with many N64 games. And then there is this big piece of cardboard which takes up the whole box and the game is in the center of this on top. This second kind should always be the one with horizontal seal, this goes for all first party Nintendo products like Mario, Pokemon and LOZ. All Atlus games to. All those cheap crappy Majesco games that never sell at Toyrus like Monster Trucks should just have seal points on the sides or occasionally on top. If you squeeze the box a little and it feels hollow, like you could crush the box then it should NOT have the line across the back. If however if feels like the box is full then it has the second kind of holder and should have this line.

This game being a Atlus game, does have the big holder and does have the line, thereby making it authentic. All atlus games come with a NP ad and a registration card in addition to the usual stuff, the card is specific to each game, not a generic one.

It's true as far as i've seen that all bootlegs are almost always cart only. And you can instantly tell there fake in a number of ways. Rarely do they come with a box, which is always flattened, and if so the box never matches the American box. Finally not even the cleaverst bootlegs would be sealed with the approriate shrinkwrap. I have no doubt that if my copy was genuine that the one that was right behind it at my kmart wouldn't have gone all mission impossible to make a fake one, but i will make an offer if anyone still is not convinced. I will not open the game you send me for one week while you check out this game and then...

I WILL TAKE RETURNS ON THIS GAME, EVEN IF ITS OPEN IF THIS DOES TURN OUT TO BE A FAKE.
