You know one of those kiosks they have at EB, GS, etc. where you can download various demos. Just wondering how many people have brought their DS in to check something out. Just did it with mine today and it's pretty slick.

Bummer that it doesn't save the demo after you power down (so you can't play another game without losing the demo), but I guess they want you to actually buy the game at some point...

If there was a way to store the demos I'd be more interested, but I'm a "no" at the moment.

I haven't.. but I have been meaning to. I just sometimes forget to bring it with me, because I end up at EB/GS/Best Buy etc randomly.. :(

Looks pretty cool though

only reason I did it was because I went after class and I alyas ahve my DS at school since I have a dumbass 1 hour break......it's decent. They could update the games available more often, the time I went they meteos and that was last month.
there's also a mod to be able to do it with a PCI card at home. Look it up on wikipedia

Nope. I originally thought the closest one to where I live was a Best Buy 25 minutes away. I never had a reason to go out there.

Just did a search on the locator. Found a Target and EB that are much closer that have the stations. Might have to check it out this weekend :)

I went down to the EB solely to get the Brain Age demo way back when, so I could start showing people.

I'll probably drop down again sometime later when they have more stuff.

Yes, it's wi-fi.

Since the EB Games I got my demo from was next to a sandwich shop with some outside seating, I didn't even have to go into EB. Awesome.

I actually was reading a bit on that yesterday. Some quick Googling didn't produce any sort of user friendly guide on how to do it and I didn't feel like spending tons of time trying to get it to work/seeing if it would work with my hardware. But it would be pretty neat.

Too bad Nintendo didn't set the DS up so that you could DL the demos over the Net. Although I suppose they could release an official product to allow your PC to broadcast the demos for DL. (Fat chance.)

I checked out Metroid Prime Hunters - really didn't like the control scheme, just didn't seem to work for me - and Tetris DS (Push mode) - that was pretty cool.

But then I had to switch it off a bit later in the day to get in my daily brain training

Doubt it would ever happen, but it would be so sweet if Nintendo partnered with various companies, like airlines, hotels, etc. to have download centers available on a flight or in the lobby, etc.

Nope, not lugging my DS to the store.

Will wait for the Wii and get the demos that way.

There haven't been any demos I really wanted to check out yet anyway.

Just saw that GS got a new set of games. I need to check out Magnetica after work.

For me its a 5 minute walk down to the store from my work, so Its not a problem at all. I can also just park outside the door and DL from my car (It's always on!)

It would be cool to be able to save the demos (maybe to that new media attachment?). But it is still nice to have the option to try certain games before buying. Big ups to Nintendo for that.

Did it for brain age. Oddly, it almost prevented me from buying due to the 'blue' issue. When i bought the full version, I had no problems with blue.

Also, as mentioned, it sucks that you can only do one at a time...

I had my DS with me the last time I was in Gamestop and tried to use the Download Station, but Gamestop kinda sucks and of course it didn't work.

Now just to say I've done it, I downloaded a demo of True Swing Golf from Best Buy. Pretty quick and the game is pretty fun.

I've downloaded both Tetris demos at a download station, and I plan on going to a station soon to download the Magnetica demo since I love Zuma.

Magnetic looks good..but.. to me $30 just isn't a good price when I can play Zuma for free.

Rather get that in a B1G1 (or B2G1).. or maybe when it's price is $20 and I can get it for 15 via GCC.

I've been meaning to try the Tetris demo.

I got one of the Tetris demos and figured I'd give it a couple playthroughs, so I lose on my first try, the game asks if I want to retry, I say no, so the game says "Ok I'm gonna power down now." There went the demo.

Yeah, I did that at first, but luckily I was still in the store and just redownloaded the demo. The cruel part is that there is no option to go back once you hit that screen.

Actually the first time I pulled up the DL menu in EB I thought I had all of the games on my DS at that point and could choose which demo I wanted to play and switch between the demos at my leisure. But after about a minute of trial and error I got the gist of how it worked.

So can I change my answer?
Yesterday I played Pokemon Trozei and Meteos..and I have to say one thing:

fuck money!!! Grrr.. now I want them 2 because they were really fun!

I stopped in Best Buy on Sunday and downloaded the demo for True Swing Golf. Really fun game, I played 5 or 6 rounds at least before turning it off. Anyone have the full version of the game? Is it worth spending money on? How many courses, modes, etc. does it have?

Going to go back and get the Meteos demo here this week since I've heard good things about that game and it looks interesting.
