HBO DVD sets 60% off at BestBuy.com

picked up flight of the conchords! awesome series if anyone hasn't checked it out yet. i heard the extras sorta sucked on the dvd, but for $13 shipped it's a good deal. :D
 
ugh...right after my seasons of the wire shipped at 27.99 a piece. Will they give me the price difference back if I call them or am I out of luck?

gonna grab rome season 2 in any event.
 
and i thought i got a good deal on band of brothers when it i ordered it on black friday for like $32. crap, will they price match that?
 
Band of Brother has been lowering in price, it is only $33 on Amazon.

Why does Best Buy have a weird looking box for Band of Brothers? There is only one release of it right?

And Oz is almost to the point where i would buy it, that price is $9.95. :)

I actually bought it in store on BF :cry: based on what I read on their price match policy I don't think they'll honor it for me, but if you ordered from the web, they will honor the new price. I have an order for some other dvds for in store pick up so I will ask then if they will match their website.

I doubt it, it's not "in store pick", so if the stores give you the deal then it's very YMMV.

I just bought that fucking Sex and the City set for my GF for like $130 off of ebay about a month ago on ebay... I never thought it would drop in price!!! oh well. I'm okay with it.

Don't feel bad, this is the only sale I've seen on this honestly and once it's gone you still won't be able to get it for less than what you paid.
 
Rome totally owns, by far the best HBO Tv series I've seen. My girlfriends seen it and she loved it, my dads seen it and he loved it. I paid full price for both and thought it was worth it. As for me I grabbed up Extras season 1 and 2. I mean for 10 freaking dollars each how could I pass that up.
 
The complete collection of Mr. Show for only $27 is a steal. I paid over $20 for each when they first came out. Well worth it.
 
Thanks OP....will finally pick up Rome season 2.

If you like your sex, violence, backstabbings, and nudity with a little bit of history thrown in, I highly recommend picking up this series.

Pretty much every single character in the show is shown nude at least once in the show, but besides that...I really enjoyed the show. The acting, sets, costumes are all really top notch.
 
Thanks OP, I'm in for seasons 1-5 of Curb Your Enthusiasm. $13.99 each is too hard to pass up! Even with tax & shipping added its the lowest price I've seen so far on the series.
 
Wow, nice. Picked up Rome season 1+2, extras 1+2, Carnival 2, Band of brothers.

Goooood deal... Should be Christmas presents but i want to watch them all. Ahhh dilemmas
 
Band of Brothers is excellent, everyone should own it NOOOOOW.

I actually still see commercials that is on sale, it's been awhile since it has aired on tv too.

Why is Carnivale season 1 sold out!? Damnit... I might pick up the second one but I'll need to find the first one now. I'm tempted to pick up Flight of the Conchords and both seasons of Extras but a friend of mine already has them.

Temptation... I should find another deal on Carnivale.
 
Wow. $80 for 5 seasons of Curb... so tempting ... but I know I'll never watch them even though it's one of my favorite shows ever... might be good for gift giving though...
 
Shoot, I bought the first 6 seasons of Sopranos on BF from Wal Mart, for that price, I might as well complete the set :) My Credit Card weeps
 
You guys may want to check with your local BestBuys. I just got back from
the Bestbuy here in Slidell, La and I can confirmed that at this location the same online deal was being offered. When I first walked in there was a display of HBO sets that were on sale and all were for $19.99. Now this may be ymmv. I don't know, but I think it's worth giving your local BestBuy a call.
 
It appears confirmed that this deal is in-store as well. I called my local BB and they have the six feet under boxset for $99.
