On their eBay side, Galactica for $40 + Ship is not a bad price for those that haven't snagged it yet...
Heroes Season 1 for $30 + Ship is nice too... If I didn't already have em...

The packaging for the US version of BSG is horrible though, you would be better importing it from Australia or the UK and it would come out cheaper than $40

I placed an order for
The Fast and Furious Trilogy and Smokin Aces on Monday

and bought Children of Men and Accepted from their ebay account

I placed my order via Live Chat, I never even got on the site really. I also got $8.49 in PayPal from them before I even sent them PayPal! It didn't say what it was for though, gah I'll be really mad if its Half Baked or Fearless, guessing its Fearless since that wasn't even on the list and I just asked about it.

for everyone who is saying the site is down. Just click the live chat link. You can place your order there. They send u a paypal invoice.

I know im an idiot. But Doing it through live chat doesn't really work for me. Sometimes i look at the movie and want it. Then read the description and think otherwise. Or sometimes its just Vice Versa you know?

I'm starting to wonder if I made a mistake trying to orchestrate an e-mail order. I wonder if the e-mail address being different from the pay-pal address messed up the process

I just got an HD DVD player yesterday and am looking for good HDDVD deals. Is this the best type of deal so far? I've already gotten King Kong (came w/the 360 add on drive) and Jarhead for $5 at Target (As Is, they may have done this to all HDDVDs there as all the HDDVDs the store had before were gone except for this one) and bc of the end of HDDVD I'm really looking to get some cheap movies because I'll probably get them again on BR when I can get deals on them (which will be a while). I see some good ones in this sale like the Bournes, Jerk and Happy Gilmore, Half Baked, Fletch and more, but I'm wondering if those who have been in the HDDVD realm longer than myself think this is about as good as it's gonna get. Is there a comprehensive site to find out about HDDVD quality to find out about transfer goofs or bare bones dvds and the like?

I passed on this deal because some B&M prices are similar and then you dont have shipping to pay for.
I went out and found a 360 HD DVD add on at a Kmart for $12, time to buy some cheap HD DVDs :)
damn id buy a backup for that price
damn id buy a backup for that price
Considering you could easily sell the remote and King Kong HD-DVD for that or more, I wouldn't pass that up. Unfortunately, the only KMart close to me hasn't had them for a very long time.
Great! I just got Both Bourne Movies for like 22 Bucks. I Love my HD DVD player. Great movies for cheapo.
how?

Even with the crappy shipping, this was still the best deal I have seen so far, if you're in the market for the right movies. As I mentioned earlier, Children of Men and Fast Times alone made this deal worthwhile for me. They are both $18 at Amazon and DeepDiscount.

Also, I haven't seen HD-DVDs at a B&M in awhile. Most places cleared them out or simply took them off the shelves. So, I have been waiting for some site to have a decent clearance.

Genfuyung,

Consider yourself lucky then.:applause::applause::applause:
The vast majority of us don't have a B&M that clearing out stock for $5/ea. at this time. Where I live, the only place that still has HD-DVD discs in-store is Fry's. What stores are you going to to get that price?
Um..cheap player cheap movies ?
no, how because the bournes were sold out a while ago.
Not yet
I sent my e-mail order in around 6 something, took them about 12 hours to process it and send me a PayPal request (PayPal request waiting for me this morning since 6:36). So hopefully, the 5 movies I ordered (Land of the Dead, Inside Man, Mallrats, Dazed and Confused, Fast Times at Ridgemont High) are still in stock and I'll get them for $43.90 shipped.

Funny. . .I sent mine in about 2:30pm yesterday w/credit card payment and still have not heard a thing. I've hit up the live chat customer service twice and they assure me that my order is still in process and I will get all of the movies I ordered. (Army of Darkness, Children of Men, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, 12 Monkeys, Being John Malkovich)

I thought about calling too. No credit card charged, no email. I did mine about 7am yesterday.

Just judging from our experiences, it looks as if (wrongly) PayPal orders may take priority over people who send credit card info.

Looks like they're getting greedy, keeping the website down and putting all their stuff up on ebay at $8 bucks each to buy it now, but $5.99 if you want to bid. :p

i bought stuff from there canadian site shipping was about 3 bucks a dvd. i bought 7 and shipping was about 20 bucks the dvds ended up beeing less then 10 a piece

In their defense, that's how the auctions were before the site went down. I checked them out while the site was up but being bombarded, hoping to get a deal, but obviously the $8 and shipping was not any good, so I passed. Then, I was finally able to get through.

that sucks. I would have paid via paypal via credit card if I knew that.

Got The Kingdom, Miami Vice, Out of Sight, Army of Darkness, Bulletproof, Friday Night Lights, and 12 Monkeys from their Canadian website. $62.88 total. Not bad at all. I hope I actually get them now.

I went crazy on the Candian site. Ordered 18 titles for $102.xx. Or so I thought. The shipping was $47. Still, it came to less than $10 a title. I was still moderately pleased.

Went easy and only picked up Children of Men, Being John Malkovich, and 40-Year Old Virgin. Or at least I'm trying. I'm ordering through the Canadian site, and it's been trying to process my order for about 5 minutes now. Yeah, I'm going to guess that that is not normal.

EDIT: Well, I got an email saying my order has been processed even though the tab that has their site open still says it's processing.

After all this time I was able to get in a order. However shipping killed it for me I know it works out to about 10 bucks a disk but I can't pull the trigger. Sorry but it would not cost 21.00 to ship 7 hd dvds. And yes if they just charged say 8-9 bucks then only 8 for shipping I would have bought some. Good prices no doubt just not worth it IMO.

Exactly. Anywhere that doesn't stack shipping charges and group them into quantity or weight categories I won't go near. I'm not paying 50% of each DVD to ship it.

You can look at it that way or look at it as less than $10 for HD-DVD movies that will be twice as much on blu-ray. This is as close to a fire sale as I think we will see. If there is something you really want, get it now before supplies dry up.

Off the Canadian site I picked up Bourne Identity, Bourne Ultimatum, Children of Men, and The Kingdom. Total was $23.96 and $37.41 with shipping. Not to bad I must say. Beats the crap out their eBay prices.

I see that point but my thing is why add back to the price with shipping. All of know that it would cost less then 10 bucks to ship 6 disc. Now even if you add in the fact they have to have the labor to get it ready I'm cool with that but still 10 bucks max.

They emailed the order form, but have been unresponsive enough that I just gave up and ordered from the Canadian site. It's too bad the US site isn't working; they're right across the lake from me, so it would probably only take a day or so to get here.

I wanted to pick up The Sting, but it won't let me add it to the cart, so in the end I went for The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, 12 Monkeys, and Land of the Dead.

Every time I add something to my cart the rest of my items are COMPLETELY changed. I can't even get two movies I want in my cart at the same time. -_-
