HDMI Cable

If you are talking about the Xbox then I don't know. I don't remember if it has an HDMI port or not. If you are talking about the Xbox 360 then yes if yours has the HDMI port. Also keep in mind that the Toslink Cable port(Digital Optical Cable port) is not on the Xbox 360 unless you bought the new slim. The older ones with the HDMI port you need to get the connector and unless they sell it on its own only comes with the Microsoft HDMI cable. However you do not need it unless you want to run that to a reciever.

Are you near a Fry's Electronics? They sell 3 packs of HDMI cables that are decently long for $7 in the computer section. That's where I got mine and they work great on my DVR, PS3, and 360.

Those are a little short for my taste but depending on your set up they could be long enough for you. You can always find good deals on HDMI cables somewhere, I know I bought mine on amazon for $2.00 a piece and I could have paid less if I wanted to.

The most important thing (and you may already know this) is not buy a $45 Monster cable at Best Buy or wherever. You do not need them b/c the cables move a digital signal.

A digital signal is unlike an analog signal in that it is "all or nothing". You will either see a great image on the screen or nada. This means that if the signal is weak you will lose the entire picture sporadically, not just deal with the "noise" that is common on a weak analog channel.

I have gotten some of the cheap ones off Amazon and they didn't work great because they were older versions and didn't really have the needed bandwidth. The cables I got from Monoprice were slightly more expensive, but still relatively cheap and work great. Just get the length you need for your setup.
