I have a PS3 and 360 both with their own HDMI, the problem is that my TV only has 1 HDMI port... So I need a cheap, but well functioning HDMI splitter.... I've found alot of ones around $10 or $15... however the ones i can find reviews for mention they have alot of issues, poor sound, bad image quality, ect....
would prefer one with an auto switcher (for the powered on device)
need one with at least 2 female hdmi and 1 male hdmi
people who own one let me know whatcha got...
anyone have any recommendations?

I have had that one for about 8 months, works great.

It has smart switch in it which means that it looks for the lowest port # first and uses whatever has an active signal

port 1: xbox
port 2:ps3
port 3:tv

If neither game system is on it auto switches to cable, if i turn on one of the game systems it auto switches to it

Only downside is the ps3 doesn't play well with it so no 3d unless it's directly connected to my projector. the xbox however plays 3d through the switch fine.
Try this: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10110&cs_id=1011001&p_id=2786&seq=1&format=2 or this http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10110&cs_id=1011001&p_id=8149&seq=1&format=2

I'm not sure about the powered ones, but I guess they're for more higher res applications.
I use the first one you linked. Have been for quite some time to swap between my PS3 and 360. I am horribly anal when it comes to clarity and I was extremely hesitant thinking it would diminish the quality but I am yet to see a difference!

I recommend it.
For others who may ever stumble upon this thread, I've been using this one for the past month and had absolutely no problems, the automatic switching works perfectly too.

This is the same one I've been using for a little under a month, no problems so far, like someone else said I'm also pretty anal about video quality and I honestly can't see any imperfections.

If for whatever reason I do start to have issues, I like the look of the Kinivo one Strigol posted, so I would probably get that one next (unless I finally get a real a/v receiver, that's my ultimate goal lol).

Probably late to the party, but if you don't already have a 5.1 surround sound setup, you could always get a receiver that has HDMI switching. Mine does 3 in 1 out. Of course this is the more expensive route.

I need one that can handle switching things that can do 3D. (PS3, XBOX 360, and a 3D Blu-ray Player going into a Panasonic 3D TV) I have tried the one made for 3D signals from Monoprice and all I got was interference and a flashing screen. Any suggestions from fellow CAG's would be great?
