I sold games in the past and never had a problem... well i sold a game a few weeks back sealed and i got a message today from the buyer. went something like

my child enjoy the game but he was able to beat it in 6 hours what is your return policy..

i told them they opened it am not taking it back

they filed a claim with amazon and i get a responce back from amazon saying

BUYERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO RETURN THE ITEMS FOR ANY REASON WITHIN 30 DAYS FOR A FULL REFUND EVEN IF THEY OPENED AND PLAYED THE GAME ... IF THEY NO LONGER WANT IT THEY CAN SEND IT BACK AND YOU WILL GIVE THEM A FULL REFUND

WTF......i think im going to start buying 5,000 buck tvs off amazon use them for 28 days and then demand they give me all of my cash back on the used tv i pissed on

Maybe Amazon decided that someone with your level of understanding of the English language, and the grammar that goes along with it, must be in the wrong somehow. :booty: lol

Na, Amazon hates sellers. I dont think there is any situation where a buyer files a claim where they dont get the full refund. I think stuff like this where the seller did nothing wrong, if Amazon wants to do things that way then THEY should pay the refund.
That's what you get for being slidecage, WOMP-WAAAAH!
I think we should just coin a new term for that, like, "he just got slidecaged!"

hey im going to trademark that :)

Should have just accepted it back and charged them a restocking fee.

I charge a restocking fee for buyer's remorse. They usually don't remember how much they paid. I don't reimburse them what I paid for shipping. This is for used items . Haven't had a problem with New stuff but I hardly sell new stuff on there.

Agreed, you're allowed to charge pretty ridiculous restocking fees so long as the buyer doesn't yell too loudly about it. Simply explain you're charged a fee to sell the item and you need to charge them a fee for a return so you don't lose money on the deal. People either agree to lose some cash and you resell the item again, or, more often than not, they say "Nevermind I'll keep it."

sorry to here of the your big time BS
Would you please share who this lovely buyer was?
He/she will definitely do this again and I would love to cancel their order if possible....

in the end they kept the item....

told them amazon worker told me i was able to charge them 5 bucks to ship the item to them.. they would have to pay 5 bucks (the shipping) to ship it back to me and i was able to hit them with a 8 buck restock fee so they would lose 18 out of the price they paid so they just kept it
Slide, what did punctuation ever do to you? I am physically winded trying to read your 'sentences'.
beat me up and knocked up my girlfriend... now we have little nouns running all over the damn place

Yeah - I did sold a game on Amazon and the feed is way too much compare to ebay. So I stopped selling on Amazon. Amazon is more gear for people that runs pop and mom shops. Good luck fighing Amazon on this...

Is English your second language?

I like amazon cause you could just park shit there without getting charged as opposed to ebay where you have to re-up it every 30 days. Plus no pics needed.

It works both ways. Buyers who do this too often get banned, sellers who don't abide by their clearly stated return policies get banned.

I get so scared selling games on amazon now its ridiculous.

latest buyer wants to return ps all stars on vita since she wanted it for PS3
and the kicker is i sent a PM saying it was for the vita and didn't get a response for 2 days so i just shipped it.

i fucking hate some buyers.

the two other cases involved wii u games but since nintendo named it like the wii , i can see why they wanted to return it but still made me :/

so for most games that are same name/wii/wii u, i send a message saying if they know what they are getting.

OP, i would be so pissed, sealed game and the kid beat it and wants to return it, you'll lose since amazon hates sellers but you can take 20%-30% as a refund fee if its a new game, what a amazon rep told me.
the buyer will go mad though, but its their own fault.

I had an A to Z claim opened on me once. DS game that I tested myself and it worked perfectly.

Buyer said they tried it in 4 different DS's and it never worked once.

I presented my case to Amazon, showed how I was willing to cooperate with the buyer through prior emails.

In the end Amazon personally refunded the buyer, he got to keep the game, but I kept the money from the transaction as well.
Anyone care to elaborate on this inside joke? I missed it I guess.
He is the OP who has had this happen to him many times.
He is the OP who has had this happen to him many times.
That still doesn't explain what happened, long story short, slidecage got shafted and somebody mentioned every time this happens to you somebody should post "you just got slidecaged." It was something along those lines, I really can't remember, the quote just stood out.

Pretty much, and now whenever someone get's boned or fed over... they got slidecaged.

Like someone buy's a ps3, and in the box is a dead hooker... SLIDECAGED.

Ps. I just wanted an excuse to say dead hooker.

Kind of makes you wonder if slidecage has a multiple personality/Tyler Durden thing going on, and he just keeps doing this shit to himself, but doesn't know it's really him.

But yeah, you got screwed. When challenging an A-Z, you have to put emotions aside and give straight facts, which in this case the game was new when shipped, customer admitted to opening, playing and beating game and wanted to return it for a full refund. Per the seller return guidelines, you have every right to refuse the return of new software that was opened:

Software: Software is a unique product category and has some specific guidelines.
If your product is sold in new condition and has been opened, you can refuse to accept the return unless it is defective.
If sold as Used/Open and not materially different or defective, you can also refuse to accept the return.
If the product is materially different, a return should be accepted if it is sent back in its original condition and postmarked within 30 days of the delivery of the original shipment to the buyer.

The first rule of Amazon is, you DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS!

Wait, slidecage is a real dude who has all this crap happen to him? I just assumed he was a troll all these years, because most of this crap is on the border of insane

Lol so glad this thread is here, I need to vent >_>

I listed MG: Rising and listed it saying that it'll come disc only, so no original case, artwork, manual included (specifically mentioned this too). The item sold and I shipped it out to the buyer. The buyer received it 2 days ago and just contacted me today saying that I never mentioned anything about the game cover missing, and that it came in a rental box (not true... I put it in a plain random case I had sitting around. better than shipping it in a plain cd sleeve). Sorta passive-aggressively told him that I did actually mention that it would come pretty much disc only, but I'd offer him a refund, but I'd have to charge him a restocking fee and shipping is on his dime. Still waiting to hear back from him...

Just some ppl out there.... -__-

Usually with items listed in disc only condition, make sure it's in caps, or at least start with "PLEASE NOTE:" It also helps to highlight that part of the packing slip with the description.
I just have to ask, how come you only have the disc for a game that came out 9 days ago?
I know some people on goozex and other game trading sites buy a game, play it, and ship the game out disc only, keeping the case artwork and manual, and then buy the game disc only cheap later on down the road. Not sure if this is the case here, or redbox fraud :D

Also, what do you mean you mentioned it was "pretty much disc only", ken? If that is what you put, that's not a good description.
I just have to ask, how come you only have the disc for a game that came out 9 days ago?
My friend bought the game used from gamestop, but it just came disc only. so since I was selling my copy of the game I just decided to give him my case and stuff haha.

Yup, I sold a game on Amazon recently - it sold on a Monday night, I didn't have a box handy so I grabbed one from work Tuesday & had my wife drop it off at the PO Weds. morning. I was still within my 2 day window Amazon gives to ship, so no problems.

Buyer emails me that Weds. afternoon before I can get home & confirm shipment requesting a cancellation, saying they hadn't had an update from me on shipping (never asked for one) and that I hadn't sold anything in the past year. I politely informed them the game had been shipped that morning and that I had sold quite a few things, but NO ONE on Amazon leaves feedback.

They left me feedback 2 days later stating how fast they got the game and how well packaged it was. :p
yeah, I'll stick to ebay. Sure it's a pain, but it beats fighting amazon. Glad it worked out for you, way to Slidecage them right back:cool:
Just enjoy fighting paypal on disputes. They ALWAYS side with the buyer.

Paypal fees + ebay fees < amazon.

Well so far it's been good. I find ebay fees a lot less than amazon when you factor in the .99 item fee, plus the traditional final value price, on low price items it can be a biig %. I think amazon is really only worth it for people that sell 40+ and can just get the monthly price. But that just IMO, everyone can sell where they see fit

And more to the point, what condition did you list it in?
