Heavy Rain Move vs Non-Move Experience

Just got my PS3 through the Target deal, and have always been interested in playing Heavy Rain. My question is - Is it worth the price of entry to getting a Move bundle to play Heavy Rain or not? If the experience is THAT much better, is it worth getting both the Move controllers or is using the Wand + DS3 passable (doesn't seem that good to me, but I don't know)

There are a few other things that the Move might be fun with, but I don't know. What does the future look like for the move?

TIA

It's pretty much the same experience with the only difference is direct movement in the Move version.

If you're interested in Move at all, it's worth getting the bundle at whatever price you're willing to pay for it.

While the DS3 has some weird walk controls (R2 is to walk). The Move actually makes walking easier in the game. However is the move worth buying just to play Heavy Rain? My answer would be no. Motion controls in general just aren't worth it for continued use for gameplay.

I played the heavy rain demo with the DS3 when heavy rain was about to be released. A couple months ago I bought the Sports Champions bundle when it was released and also bought heavy rain.

It was a totally different experience from what I remembered playing with the DS3. I HIGHLY recommend playing heavy rain with the move... it made it 1000000x better for me

I'm in the same boat as the OP. Picked up a PS3 last month for the new Mortal Kombat, and since then I've been picking up all the games I've seen over the years that looked good.

Bought Heavy Rain last weekend, and haven't even opened it yet (wanted to finish L.A. Noire first). Every forum post I've read on this very subject recommends using the Move controls, so I'll be picking up Move before I crack into Heavy Rain.

That's good to hear.

So, if there were some other type of MOVE game that someone was interested in, then it may be worth it? Otherwise, just to play 1 game (Heavy Rain) it's probably not worth it...Is that how I'm taking your statement?

Pretty much. RE5 Gold does a pretty good job with the move and so does the Time Crisis game. But to buy the move for just one game, is not worth it.

i started heavy rain with DS3 and switched to PS move around the middle.
Don't do this! as I was getting used to the new control, I messed up my story...

They both work great for the game, Move did feel pretty awesome when things were clicking together but I ended up going back to DS3 to accurately finish the game.

As others said, it's not a must buy the move for this but it's good with it. I will say I must be retarded though because I kept getting the actions confused: hold vs tapping buttons, and "in"/"out" vs up/down lol. There are also a couple segments that require multiple button holds that make you set down the DS3/nav controller, so those threw me a bit.

My buddy played with DS3 (his ps3 estimated ~500 hrs to DL the Move patch...) and watched me play with Move and he liked the Move actions better if that helps.

I played through the game twice.... one with each setup. Very much preferred the move setup. I didn't get the nav controller til afterwards... but prefer it over the ds3 for resident evil for sure
