Hello Everyone!

CAG Veteran
Hey CAGs...

I just wanted to introduce myself to the community before I start jumping into conversations. (I didn't see another proper place to do so)

When I was younger (I'm 29 now) I use to play all kinds of games (PC, Nintendo, PS1) and then as I got older and had kids I gravitated away from it. Recently, I purchased a PS3 and an LCD RPTV to upscale DVDs and watch BLU-RAY content. But, the combination of owning these new toys and having an 8 year old son has renewed my love of gaming.

The first time I found CAG was accidental and the site was doing a live broadcast with CheapyD and Epileptic Gamer. I instantly became a fan of this site the CAG Cast and Foreplay.

Without making this post to long, I just wanted to say hello and tell everyone how the podcasts and reading the forum content et. al. has entertained and informed me since the first day I found CAG.

Keep up producing the great and entertaining content and I look forward to jumping into some conversation soon!

Welcome to the forum.

I hope you didn't pay full price for any of your PS3 games and Blu-Ray movies. If you did, you have much to learn ;).

I guess so, thanks!

Apparently, my bad... Sorry, I performed a search for the "forum rules" and it didn't turn up anything obvious. If need be, please have this thread deleted. But I thought off-topic would be fair game to say hello and praise the site and community.

If you had posted this in the Video Game Deals forum, well, that would be a different story.

Welcome to CAG, btw :)

Whoa whoa there, anything good? Or did your dirty rotten hands pick it clean already?

Don't sweat it. No, really, I mean it. Remember you're on a site associated with activities such as being called a douchebag over Live chat by a 10 yr. old, describing the sexual prowess of your mother as she gets violated, or how that Leroy Jenkins meme is still funny. Otherwise, welcome.

Aw, this is nice.
We should have a "Introduce yourself" section lol

OR I wish more people would do this. It's nice.
:applause: Welcome ^_^

Dude, you're done for.

Just kidding. This is probably the best place for an intro, but depending on what part of the site you decide to visit, most probably won't see this.

The Off Topic forums, especially any thread that has OTT in it, is somewhat of the "Wild West" of CAG. It's still moderated, but expect flaming and in-jokes a-plenty. You probably will get hazed a bit (ESPECIALLY in OTT - expect plenty of "Who are you?" questions), but the trick is to just let it go, and you'll earn respect...well, respect from me, at least.

To get you going, here's a starter list of things you can drop into conversations (I'm letting some of our "secrets" out):

1. Book. (The answer to everything.)
2. Lifting fridges.
3. DLF. (I can only say his initials, lest I accidentally summon him.)
4. The act of knocking over a magazine rack and then throwing glitter as a show of disagreement with a store clerk.
5. Razzing Shrike for being old. (I don't suggest doing that to me, however.)

WARNING: Bragging about your mother's sexual prowess may attract a creature called a "Strell' - tread lightly.

Welcome to CAG, scott. Hope you survive the experience!

Ah, jokes... I get jokes. :)
This thread is the nicest we people get to you. It's downhill from here.
I believe that, I'll find my helmet.
... or how that Leroy Jenkins meme is still funny.
Man, my co-workers talked about that stupid bit for a long time in my office. I guess if ytmnd.com finds a way to re-invent the meme I *may* find the humor in it. I never was a big fan of WoW.
Welcome. Your hazing begins tomorrow. We suggest wearing two pair of underwear.
Heh, two pairs of boxers may bunch a bit. I dig the American Psycho Avatar BTW.

I have lifted a ton of heavy things in my day... I have never tried a fridge, I may get on that tonight after work. The only question I have is empty or full?

Thanks for the welcomes everyone.

are you fimilar with meatspin.com ?
Yes I am, that one and lemonparty ...

Not really my thing, my boss loved to tell people to goto those two sites and then engage in conversation with them the next day about it. This is of course, if they would ever talk to him again.

The goatse site is a classic. Did you know that guy died? I love this collage of people's reactions who first witnessed that site. Mine, about 10 years ago, was probably good too.

Rocko, old bean, I expected better of you.

Come on, you guys are going to tear this guy to shreds...at least let me give him a fighting chance. It's funnier that way.

At "the ender's" polite and resonable request I have given myself an eye-patch, mustache and soul-patch to look less gay. :)

I can't think of any kind of pirate that is gay... uh, wait a minute.
