Help: Cleaning discs

Hey there,

So I just bought a copy of Growlanser: Generations off of Amazon and beat disc 1. And I popped in disc 2 and get a "Cannot Read Drsc" error. I check the disc and see a slight scuffing/smudging about the size of a postage stamp on one edge of the disc.

I've tried using water and a soft cloth, but it's not coming off?

Anyone have any tips?

Well.. if its a scratch, you're going to need something like a disk doctor, EB, GS or BB have them.

If its just a smudge, try some diluted rubbing alcohol (90% water) and an old tshirt/lintless cloth. Wipe out in a strait line from the center, working your way around the disk. NEVER wipe in circles.
 
Just be warned: your disc will look odd after using a disc doctor, and you must use it carefully or it can screw up your disc more than it was before.
 
smear tooth paste all over it and then let the water run over the disc until the tooth is all gone then pad it dry gently. works for me and the disc smells good 2

The point of the thread is that it is affecting the disc...
