Help Connecting turtle beach ear force p21 w/ ps3+acer LCD

I have the following and want to be able to hear my ps3 games/blu-rays on my turtle beach ear force p21

1) Acer g215habd 21.5" LCD(has no speakers)

these are the steps i took but did not work, i got no sound
1) plugged the acer g215gabd into my ps3 via DVI to HDMI
2) plugged the A/v composite cables (red/white) into the ear force p21 audio splitter(red/white)
3) plugged the usb of the ear force p21 into the ps3(for power)
4) went to ps3 audio setting and changed the sound setting to composite (red/white)
5) turned the volume up and played a video on my ps3

no sound
any ideas?

You switch the audio to multi output on after you set it to composite?

No how do I do that cause it just let's me choose the av composite output...

After you select your output, there is an option on the same menu to select multi out puts. It should say something about broadcasting at 2 channels on non used audio. That is how i got mine working. The headset is great, once you get it working.
