help figuring out pc game title.. ahhh

blitzkrieg10

CAG Veteran
There was a game sometime from 1998 to 2000 i think where you went against another opponent(computer) in a map where you tried to destroy there base. It was an overhead view and the team colors were red and blue(good graphics too). I am not sure which color was the computer or player. Your army were a bunch of futuristic hovercraft type tanks and i believe some flying machines as well. I know there were smaller vehicles and larger ones to create by i think capturing zones on the map. I had it on a demo disc and always wanted to get this game. Any help would be greatly appreciated since i’ve been searching non-stop for like a month on the internet… ahhhh… thanks

nah not those two games.... the maps look more like a futuristic arena with differnt paths and the graphics are better than those as well... thanks for the attempt!!!! i'm thinking the game was close to coming out around 2000 bc of the graphics... i wish i had more clues but it's been about 10 years since i played the demo...

nah i wish it were that easy.... you only have these machines that get created at your base... the enemy has the exact machines(or hovering tanks) just a different color... most of the game if i recall correctly just involved using the mouse kinda like how populous and those games just use the mouse altho the game is nothing like populous... thanks tho

my brother seems to think the demo it came with also had return to krondor on it... do not know if this is valid or not, and says the cd itself looked like a clock that the demos came on if this helps at all?

also i think to get like this super ship(machine) u needed to capture all the spawn points to create this war machine that would help defeat the enemy base or production area.... damn this is tricky to remember... i feel bad that this info is prolly useless

It sounds just like Herzog Zwei for Genesis, which was one of my most favorite games. If you guys ever figure it out, I'd be interested as well.

nah it's neither of those... its more modern than that game with better graphics and the view was from directly overhead... you could only have like three or 4 basic machines and there were no people or anything in the game... u would have your base then like two or 3 paths that lead to the other teams base... to gain control you would need to control 2 or 3 stations along the way to gain dominance and push yur opponent back to take over there base.... again sorry this is so tough...but must have been 99-02 release since the graphics were better than the 97 games i am seeing

the machines again were futuristic like hovering tanks and flying machines... started with small machines and as u got further along they became bigger and more destructive

Probably adds to the desperation, but sounds like 1 out of millions of RTS clones that got released around that time. Its kinda like asking about an adventure game from the late 80's early 90's where you moved a character around and had to read a lot.

nah its not total annihilation either.... haha tankass yur right.... i keep searching and seeing the same type of games with different titles... even though they dont really resemble the game i am speaking of... wish there was a list of all these games form 98-02 that i could search through

Mobygames's game browser...
You can see a list of *insert game type here* games released each year.

Ha ha, yea i did a search and all i could find was the top RTS games article from gamespot. the rest is going to be a crap shoot. good luck to you. Only game i know of that was a RTS from around that time that no one knows that it could be is 7th legion, but i remember a big dinasour on the cover so i doubt its that.

I'll try to name some games and see if anything jogs your memory. These probably aren't it but they might be close.
