Help get Quake4 patched!

Ruined

CAGiversary!
I posted a letter on XBOX.COM & Raven's forums in an attempt to help users voice disappointment with Quake 4 XBOX 360 issues such as single player framerate and glitches in the single player & multiplayer games.

COD2 users got Infinity Ward to step up and fix the Live issues by voicing their disappointment, Quake4 users need to do the same thing if they want the problems with this XBOX 360 game fixed. So click on the below link to the letter and post or sign there if you agree with the contents of the letter and want Quake4 patched! Thanks!

i don't want no patched shit. it only gives a excuse for companies to port/rush half ass titles and later on issue patches. i bought a console game, not a PC game.

So if a company does rush something (which happens all the time) and they have the ability to patch it, you would rather they just leave it glitchy? Makes a lot of sense to me.

No, this is a certain truth to what he's saying. T*HQ did this shit with that last god awful Wrestlemania game, and even with the patch it only went from unplayable to only really really bad. If more companies start doing it, it starts a bad precedent and opens a pandoras box that won't be closed, the market will be flooded by shitty games with broken gameplay with the developers giving the excuse that they plan to have the patch ready soon.

Guys, I have a friend who works in the industry and I asked him about fixing the FPS cause i thoght for sure it would be impossible and he concurred. Fixing the FPS would take a major overhaul of viewing distances and possibly even changes to the code. Fixing the lag is a different story but hey i'll sign it anyway cause i would like to play it again also. I rented it and returned it the next day cause it was so unplayable at parts.

The framerate is funny on the demo. OH NOES, ENEMY ON THE SCREEN!!! *drops to 10 fps*

I beat the game on Corporal level, and don't think there's anything "broken" with it. I think the slowdown complaints are over-inflated. The other problems are just part of what makes it a less-than-great game.

2nd-ed.

When publishers know they have an "out," they don't worry about things and rush to market. Not that they're necessarily intentionally leaving problems in there, but that's just what is going to happen if there's an opportunity for a fix after the game is already out.

Console games should be DONE when they are released. That's how it has always been, and just because we're 20 years from when the NES came out does NOT mean that should change.

I know it has already been stated above, but you'd hardly notice an improvement on FPS with a patch. I remember they did that with Unreal Championship on the XBox, and the difference was minimal. An issue like that is generally not something that just can be fixed with a patch. The multiplayer issues, however, are possibly/probably fixable if they bother to do so.
