Help I am having problems with my ps3

I was playing the demo for worms then my PS3 shut off and when I try to turn it back on it goes off and the red light in the front blinks. What is wrong and how do I fix it?

I'm guessing it's a old 60 or 20GB unit and it's out of warranty. :cry:

EDIT: Wow a 40GB? First time I heard of one of those getting a blinking light. Kinda worrying.

On the other hand, this guy recently fixed his problems so check this not too old thread out here.
