So during a session of Halo: Reach my original launch xbox crashed and gave me the RROD. I tried everything to fix it but came to the realization that its old and it has served me long enough. So I was wondering if anyone knows of any deals for the new slim or if I should just grab one on Amazon. Thanks for your help.

[quote name='zeldaking']250GB Xbox 360 @ Dell for $270.

But I hate how Microsoft consoles are treated as disposable systems. Remember in the old days when you can buy just one console for a generation?

Thanks for the info. I know what you mean though. I mean, every system I ever bought still works. The only one I have ever had trouble with is the Xbox 360. But again thanks for the deal.

That's what I meant. You buy one console per generation and it lasts forever. No buying multiple consoles per each generation. If you bought a SNES, it is still working today.

i traded my old 360 and i traded some games for the 4gb new 360 system (200$) and i cracked open my 120gb hdd and just inserted it into the new 360 slim since it can take the hdd by sata ports. saves alot of money that way

gamestop has trade 5 get a extra 20$ and it stack with edge so i traded bout 10 games plus my old 360

I still have my NES from decades ago. It still works perfectly and unlike my xbox.. the most noise it makes it the click of the power button.

Around how much you get for trading a 360 to gamestop?

Depends on the condition - I was just there on Tuesday and overheard that a RROD system is worth $30 in trade-in credit. I believe a working system is around $70.

I believe there's a forum topic that has the most recent price.

That's what happens when you move away from cartridge games.

The Xbox 360 failure rate is still a lot worst than other disc based system
