well u see(u dont see) is that i currently own an original ds...and yes i do have a piracy cart but im anti-piracy meaning i dont download games..only homebrew...but the thing is the dsi is coming out and all(i assume u know dat)and i wanted to ask... SHOULD I TRADE IN MY DS ORIGINAL AND GET A DSI OR DSLITE???...this is the painfull part..

i dont know which console to pick...

and i dont know what to do with my piracy cart if i buy a new console...

know i kno that i can just keep the cart and get a ds lite but at the same time the dsi is hear and its calling my name...so its really a hard decision for me i guess..

if anybody can help..plz doooo

!!!IM AWARE OF THE FLASHCART RULE..I HOPE I DONT GET BANNED FOR SAYING PIRACY CART!!!

Edit: I just saw something tthat caught my eye and that was the special at gamestop..u trade in any console and get an extra 25$ with the trade in..know i think thats sick..so know this makes my decision even harder thanks to gamestop

The DSI isn't compatible with any current homebrew device. Take that for what you will.

The original DS trades in for like.. $30 as well. Not worth it. Keep the original. No real reason to upgrade.

i would get the lite. the only+ the dsi has is it has WPA support... the camera is pointless.. fischer price makes stronger cameras than that

I thought about upgrading but I'm happy with my Lite. The upgrade from the original DS to the DSL was worth it... going from the DSL to the DSi seems pointless.

So what's the painful part?

Ohhh, only getting $30 for your DS. That *is* painful!

Keep it.
If you're anti-piracy and pro-homebrew... why not call it your homebrew cart?
Because he didn't think the lie through that far.

if you have GBA games, keep the old DS. DSi won't have a GBA slot (wonder if Nintendo thought about that and how you can transfer GBA Pokemon to Diamond or Pearl?) Or you could get it after it drops in price and still keep your old one.

Be patient - wait until the DSi comes out, go to a B&M and get both the DS lite and DSi in your hands. See which one you like better in terms of feel, features, and performance. As of right now there isn't any sort of hack/homebrew for the DSi but I imagine it won't be long before that comes out (considering there's an SD card slot - ripe with possibility!)

But yeah, I'd wait until you can meet the new beast face-to-face and see if it's worth it. Might even be some good deals out there by then, given the economy and all.
