help..thief or riddick for xbox?

Riddick is kinda different from the Thief games so it's hard to compare. I've played both and personally I'd go with Riddick.

btw, i havent played either yet...but id definitely go with riddick
 
Haven't played Thief but I read about bugs in the game and that it's not great...I bought Riddick after seeing all the hype and I can't reccomend this game enough. The story is good, graphics are amazing and the gameplay is also amazing...the game is a lot of fun I definitely reccomend it, it almost reminds me of playing Goldeneye for N64, it's that good. I'll definitely be playing it again soon.
 
Personally, I never really got into the stealth type games so I would most likely go for Riddick.

The only problem I have with Riddick is that I saw the movie last weekend it was a piece of garbage. Its not very desiable to play a Movie game thats based on a crappy movie...
 
It think its a prequel to Pitch Black (which I never saw).

Still, going back to my original point, if I saw a movie in the theater which I thought really sucked, I am less inclined to go play the video game which is based off of it (or in this case, has some resemblance to the movie).

For example, I played a lot of Star Wars games in the 80s cause I loved the original trilogy. I didn't not buy any 'Phantom Menace' games though because I thought Phantom Menace sucked..

Thank god there are no games based on "Showgirls".....
 
The Riddick game for Xbox is not based off the new movie. Like everyone says, its a prequel to pitch black. I have both Theif and Riddick, and I highly recommend Riddick, unless you can get Theif for $14.99 like I did.

You should watch Pitch Black it's a totally different (and much better) film. Also, I agree with your point about movie to game adaptations, but when a game like Riddick gets so much good press I have to give it a shot regardless of its base material.
 
How I got theif III for $14.99.
$39.99 at CC, minus the $5.00 sale they had going on. Making it 34.99 at CC, then applying the target coupon, bringing it to $19.99.
Take CC receipt to best buy, and have them pricematch theif for $19.99
Use GGC at BB to get $5.00 off the 19.99 pricematch, bringing theif down to $14.99.

Note: this was done last week, during the $5.00 off CC deal.

Thief i have not played, but havent heard anything good.

Riddick i owned and was shocked by the visuals, but after awhile it got boring. That sucks because everything from the 1st person fighting engine to the player models were great, but it just didnt end up fun :(
 
Yeah, Riddick was actually quite short now that I think about it. I rented it and beat it in a weekend (about 10 hrs maybe), so if anyone is still deciding between the two keep that in mind.
 
yea, saw on tv that theif wasnt good, riddick is good, but i dont like the fact you cant see in the light.. grr :( get riddick, cause the actor of riddick is GAY! yes vin diesel is gay gay gay!
 
I have both and recommend Thief 3, especially if you have played any of the Thief series on the PC. The "Cradle" mission is amazing. Riddick is fun but I think it is a bit overrated.
 
Theif is vastly underrated. The game has some minor glitches and everyone seems to hate it for that. I'm having a blast with it. That cradle mission made me pee my pants.
