Help using my HDTV as my Computer monitor....

WHat does VGA look like for Comp?
 
VGA is better, just google "VGA port" if you don't know what it looks like. You can a cable cheap from Monoprice.com. Keep in mind both VGA and S-video are video-only, no sound.

Sweet thanks, but I have a question u know the screws on the side of the connector, my laptop dont have them holes, but tv does, is that ok

it should be fine. The screws on the sirde are to securely put in place of the cable to the connector so the cable doesn't fall off. When you plug it in your laptop, everything should fit fine. I'm guessing the laptop will be stationary for the most part, so the cable will stay connected.
 
Yeah don't worry about the screws, they're used only when the corresponding port has screw holes. So if your laptop doesnt have them, then you just won't use the screws, but the cable will still fit perfectly.

Well, you could plug a headphone cable into the laptop, then connect the other end to a y-adapter (you might need a 3.5mm coupler to make it work) that leads to the standard red and white A/V cables. And then plug those cables into the TV or whatever. The whole thing should cost like... $10-15. That's assuming there's no other convenient solution to this problem (which there never has been, in my experience.)

Actually, your TV has a 3.5" miniplug stereo input which is typically used with the VGA input. So you could buy this:

Which has the VGA and the audio cable, so you plug that into the VGA and your headphone plug, and the other end in your TV's VGA and miniplug ports. Tada!

Also, feel free to look around, there's multiple lengths of cables from 3'-50'
