My hitachi drive stoped reading games a few days ago. Every game disk i put in says "play dvd". I tried cleaning the lens (didnt work) and then i tried to relube the motor, but 1 of the alen screws got striped and i counld't remove it, so 
it im just gonna buy a new drive and swap the PC-Board.
The drive i have is a Hitachi GDR-3120L - Rom VER= 0047DJ
My question is, does it matter what ROM VER i buy if im going to swap the PCB from my drive to the new drive?
ive looked arround online for the hitachi drives and it doesnt look like it will be easy to get a specific ROM VER.
