Help: Zelda in widescreen on a 4:3 SDTV?

I only have an old 4:3 CRT, can I still play zelda in widescreen (letterboxed) or am I stuck playing in 4:3 until I pony up the cash for a new TV.

Your TV needs to have a 16:9 setting. I don't pretend to know anything about graphical fidelity. All I know is I set up my Wii to display in 16:9 in "Wii Settings" and then whenever I turn on the TV for the Wii I have to press the 16:9 button on my remote.

To be honest, if I forget to hit the button on the remote and play in 4:3, I really don't notice the difference. I'll have to look more closely.

all I have to do w/ my 36 inch sony SD tube TV is go into my menu and under settings there is a thing i have to select that says 16:9 .... just look through your menu if your tv has it you'll find it there.

Thanks guys. My TV unfortunately has no such option. Looks like I'll have to replay Zelda in widescreen when I finally bite the bullet and buy a new TV.
