First and foremost I want to apologize because I know this probably doesn't go in this forum, however I need help and couldn't find a better starting point.

I'm looking to purchase a new HD tv. It has to be 1080p, at or around 40in, and preferably under 1200. So do my fellow cheapasses have suggestions for me?

There is a TV sell-off going on right now at sellout.woot.

Hope you like TVs, because we got ourselves a Sell-Off! Today we’re selling one TV after another, starting with the biggest screens and shrinking down to the little ones.

First one is a refurbished. Not sure if there will be new ones, but you could check throughout the day.
