Here's a thread to tell people about great books nobody reads

I've got about 100 pages left in Angels & Demons and it is 100 times better than The Da Vinci Code (which was also excellent). Why didn't this book get as much recognition?

Anyone who likes those books would love Ludlum.

I will have to check him out.

Gods, pretty much anything written by Mercedes Lackey. They're the kind of books you stay up all night for. Just so awesome.

BTW, anybody here read Ender's Game?

Just finished Angels and Demons... it was very good. Now I need to get something else to start on the train ride home today...

Yup. As well as Speaker for the Dead, Ender's Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon, and Shadow Puppets. Ender's Game is classic. Ender's Shadow is basically a retelling of Ender's Game from one of Ender's academy mate's viewpoint. All in all, Ender's Game is the best of them w/ Shadow of the Hegemon taking 2nd.

I read a book called: While the Locust Slept, by Peter Razor. It's my neighbors brother in law that wrote it. Mr. Razor was here visiting a few years ago and gave me a copy. I finally got around to it, and it was a great read!
i don't want to quote all of that Star wars stuff. But is there any resource on what order the SW books should be read? I have always wanted to get into them but I wanted to read them in a decnt order
Get Star Wars: The Essential Chronology (or read it at Barnes & Noble if you're really cheap). It's fairly up-to-date (minus some of the New Jedi Order series and Episodes 2-3)

Maybe because "Da Vinci" isn't in the title. T_T

Agreed about Ender's Game being the best out of those books. Excellent read.

Go on to theforce.net click on the left bar and go to ultimate timeline than in the left hand corner click on more timeline and there is the best timeline I have seen for star wars. Up to date and easy to read. Or you can go for the book that jaykrue mentioneed or just look inside the cover of recent star wars book and there should be a pretty comprehensive list inside.
