Heroes S1 $13 @ Target w/$6 off cpn YMMV
I just came back from the Target on Route 23. in NJ, and they had no copies left.

I asked them for a rain-check, and they gave me a bull-crap answer saying that "just that one item" was un-rain-check-able, so they refused to give me a rain-check for it (depsite people in this thread clearly getting them).. so yeah, I recommend not going to this Target - I'm going to try and check a few others before the sale ends tomorrow though.
I am in NJ also, and my local Target was out of them, too. I asked for a rain check at customer service, and the girl (her name tag said she was a new team member) tried for about 15 minutes to give me a raincheck. Finally, she called for back up, and some snotty Michelle Rodriguez-esque chick snapped at me "Yo, no rainchecks for dose itemz!" and I said "I don't see anywhere on the ad where it states "quantites are limited, no rainchecks" So she had some other guy come over to find the item number of the DVD, but she said "No raincheck cuz it aint in da black n white book!" So the other guy came over with the little Star Trek phasor machine, kept searching it for about 10 minutes, finally got the number and gave it to the new returns girl and he walked away. So then the return girl still couldn't figure out how to do a rain check, and I continued to wait. So then another employee came by and she asked him for help, but then he just called someone else to help her.

So finally, if you are still reading this, another guy comes over, punches in the number, and the register prints out a listing of "local" Targets that "might" have the item in stock, because "that item is not eligable for a rain check".

So I waited about 25 minutes for a list of Target stores.

I don't care too much about the DVD, at $19 I was mildly interested, at $13 I would have bit, but I hate poor customer service.

Wow!!

That Target store really needs to properly train its CS rep to be more polite.

That was one heck of a rude rep there.. if that was me on the other end hearing this..
I'll complain to the manager right away.
I also bought 5 other sets to return to walmart at $50 each and picked up some other titles.
Yeah, don't do that. I know you're new, but that's illegal, and makes you a dickhead.

Over the past week I walked away with (most HD DVD)

Harry Potters OOTP (hd)
The Kingdom (hd)
Pans Labrynth (hd)
Lost Season 3 (not HD DVD obviously)

Used remainder on gift card to get Blade Runner hddvd on walmart online and still have $ on the card's.

That's messed up how you decided to exploit this deal for your own personal gain. I can understand if the reason you needed to hoard all those copies was to give them as gifts. Not only is Target not getting reimbursed the $6 on each copy of the coupon you used, but you are ripping off Wal-Mart by returning DVDs that weren't even purchased at their store. Amazing you were able to do 5 returns without a receipt in one week, since I read that Wal-Mart started to tighten their returns policy and they've implemented a monitoring system to keep track of people who do receiptless/fraudulent returns. Don't be surprised if you try to do it again and you get busted.

yep, I apologize once again for being a dick and taking advantage of something. I didnt see people getting crusified when they talked about taking advantage of google checkouts $10 off deal on buy.com by creating multiple accounts.

As for Walmart tightening returns, I think they are only cracking down on cash returns without a receipt but I could be wrong.

But once again I apologize for talking about this on this forum, didnt know it would upset anyone.

I guess I am a bad person.

Once again I apologize for any hardship I caused anyone by reading my original post. I am not being sarcastic in any form here. I truely feel bad about what I have done and trust me after seeing this reaction on this board I will look at these scenarios differently.

Thank you

I might head off to Target tomorrow. I got a raincheck so it should work without a problem tomorrow.

Thanks OP for the scan.

Woo it worked! It took me forever to find a copy in the store but once i did everything else went smoothly. Fantastic deal for $13.

Heads up to anyone using the coupon, the image came out best when i put the coupon into M$ Word and printed it (every other method i tried seemed to fudge up the image.) The coupon lists the coupon as MFR Coupon if anyone is trying to use a backstory. Huzzah and thanks again.

I ended up getting a copy after all.

I emailed the coupon to a friend and he bought 2 from his local Target (1 for each of us). He looked for the youngest / dumbest cashier and went through with both sets, coupon didn't scan, he said she was like "whatever" and inputted it manually.

Thanks again, OP.

I was able to use the coupon, too. At first, the coupon didn't scan. The cashier commented that it looked like a coupon from a newspaper and that since it had the cut out lines that it couldn't be a manufacturer's coupon. I had to pick the one cashier that was an "expert" on coupons!!!

She called a manager over and she explained her doubts on the validity of the coupon. The manager agreed with her but accepted the coupon anyways (she was able to scan it). The cashier gave me a look as if I had punched her in the face and reached into her purse and taken the $6.48.

Anyways.... Thanks OP.

Well congrats to anyone that was able to get in on this deal. I passed, since I bought it the week it came out. Never thought it would be this low in price so fast. Was also very surprised to see all seasons of King of the Hill for $12.99 at Best Buy the same week.

Well, I went today and used the coupon but I had some problems. The coupon didnt scan and the "item is not found" message popped onto the screen. I aked why it didnt work and the lady politely went over to her manager and asked. She told me that I couldnt use it but tsaid that i could talk to the manager she just talked to.
I walked over to the manager who was very polite. I asked her why it could not be taken and she answered something about fraud and how it wasnt printed on a certain paper. I told her that it was a printout coupon and she looked through the coupon again. At the end, she entered the discount automatically without a fuss and I walked out with a copy of Heroes for $13.99.

Didn't the $19 Heroes sale end on Saturday?

Stopped by yesterday and picked up another copy using the coupon. Cashier barely looked at it, just ran it across the scanner and it scanned with no issue. I'll return the unopened copy with my original receipt sometime next week. :)

I managed to grab this two days ago with the coupon, scanned on the first try. I've never seen Heroes before so watching them will be a treat, thanks op.

picked it up the other day as well using the coupon.....it didnt scan and the manager gave me hell for trying to use it but i got my way in the end....she was ugly too (yea i like hot strong women)

I used this coupon while on vacation last week, thanks for posting it! :applause:

It wouldn't scan in but at CC any CS cashier can just price adjust items for you without calling a manager for an override like they have to do at Best Buy. So for future reference this means you have a better chance of getting things like this to work at CC than BB if it matters to anyone.

well, I managed to get 2 rainchecks for $20 before the sale ended. Would I be able to still use the coupon in combination?
No luck! The coupon didn't work.
:(

Gave me BS about it looked like I made a copy.
I usually just say I got it online, and that's enough to get by.
