Hey. Just wondering about harddrives for the PS3.

All I can tell you is that the price can definitely be better than that. I picked up a samsung 2.5 sata 5200 500gb for $50 after some discounts about 5 days ago. Not sure if the ps3 handles 1TB though and I can't imagine how you will fill it up. Research some more and don't spend that much for a HD.

That one is 12.5mm high.
It can't physically fit in the PS3.

Look for one that is 9.5 mm high like this one:

The system will recognize the drive but you can't physically install it into the PS3. The hdd cage won't allow for it to fit since it is 12.5mm. You will need extension cables to allow for the hdd to be outside the PS3.
