Sometime next year, probably May, I'm going to go to New York for the first time. The main reason is to see the Mets. I've been a fan for all of my 38 years. They had a farm team in my little home town when I was a kid. I've seen them at Dodger's stadium, at Candlestick and at PacBell. Well it's time to see them at Shea. My wife and I will probably arrive on a Monday and leave Friday. I want to see a day game and spend the rest of the time checking out the city. Any suggestions on where to stay? Obviously Manhattan would be nice but is it just as easy to stay in one of the burrows and take the Subway in during the day? Just looking for some suggestions. I'll be staying at a Holliday Inn because I have a ton of their points saved up. Thanks in advance!
