I've got the new Camp Lo pre-ordered.

I'll believe the new Del is coming out when it is in my hands
Never listened to Bus Driver but I've always wanted to.
Temporary Forever is his best album but his new one, Roadkillovercoat isn't bad. For some reason, I dig his fast and in your face style that is just dripping with absurd humor.

Just aquired it, listening now. Holy shit this is amazing. I mean, jesus fucking christ.

Anyone here like Common? I just picked up Be for like $4 this week, and I really liked it. It was nice to see a rap album that wasn't 18 tracks and 72 minutes.

Common is amazing. Easily one of my favorite rappers.

:bouncy:

Yay! I really hate when rap albums are filled with skits, intros, interludes, etc., and don't have that unified vision that a good album should have. Common's shit, though, seems to avoid all that.

I wasnt too much a fan of Resurrection, doods is saying like ut's his best album or something.

I used to love H.E.R. is like the fuckin underground rap music anthem rite there.

anyway, Like Water for Chocolate = my favorite Common record!!

and I remember the first time I heard / saw Busdriver at spitkicker or something back in like 1999.

dood was soooo dope, he was jus chillin in the background and Aceyalone was like "yo Busdriver" and he got on the mic and ripped it!!!!

it was amazing.

ever since that, I never listened to him ever nor seen him live again, lol. Maybe I should search him on emusic
Who's this Pharoahe Monch guy everyone is talking about? Is he any good?
He was one half of Organized Konfusion that put out some great albums. As a solo artist, his Internal Affairs album was really good but his new one Desire has a few good tracks and a lot of filler

My enthusiasm for going out and making stuff happen has dwindled since setting foot outside to take out the trash. It's flippin' sweltering hot.

I wonder if I can stay inside and make stuff happen? :whistle2:k
Is the Danger Mouse album good?
Which one?

DangerDOOM? The album with Jemini? Or the "Grey Album?"
QFMFT.
Doubled.

I love Danger Doom and the Grey Album...both quality albums.. if you want the best track off of each

Danger Doom - The Mask feat Ghostface
The Grey Album - My 1st Song

Does anyone know where I can get The Roots Organix or Organized Konfusion's Equinox? Been looking for those for a long time and no luck...

I was lucky enough to find Organix used at a store here in R.I. I'm not too sure about finding it any other way than that though.

As for Equinox, I have no clue. I just checked Amazon and damn, I didn't know it was rare.

Thanks guys on the links. Yeah I checked Amazon last night and must have missed Organix... yeah Equinox going for upwards of $50 is crazy.

Alright guys, it's the first of the month ( dang this month went by quick!) and my emusic account resets tomorrow. I really wanna get into some Sage. I've listened to a few samples of Human the Death Dance. Seems pretty hot.

I was just wondering if anybody could give me any reason to go with any of his other studio albums rather than Death Dance. Thanks for the help.

The LP he made with Joe Beats as the duo Non-Prophets is great = Hope. Also, Personal Journals is good, too.

All you hip-hop heads cross your fingers for me: I'm trying to get the woman-in-charge at Okayplayer to let my girlfriend meet the Roots at Rock the Bells.

I figure I have a bit of a chance since I write for OKP, but we'll see.

Thanks for the help, but it seems emusic has none of those. They just reset my account, so I'll probably grab Human the Death Dance. Hope it's as good as it seems.

Most Sage Francis fans will also recommend A Healthy Distrust or Personal Journals.

personally I cant stand the guy but I got friends who love him (along with Sole, Buck 65, Aesop Rock, and every other white rapper u can think of...)

they dragged me to his concert and it ruined my mood for the whole weekend, lol.

if at this one very moment I could recommend you just one album to snatch of emusic, get this if you havent:

this album is better imo

Made in Brooklyn was aiite...

It was dope the first few spins, but then it begins to get stale.

like, REAL stale.

tracks like Digi Warfare and DTD make No Said Date a classic Wu record definitely up there with Ironman and Liquid Swords.

anyway, I'll prolly be finally buying new Pharoahe tomorrow.
IMO, The Fugees and Lauryn Hill is where it's at.
You gave me a flashblack to Rock The Bells 2006 where Lauryn Hill was the surprise guest. She brought down the whole vibe of the show and people were booing her and throwing bottles on the stage.

What'd she do?
What'd she do?
Lauryn Hill had a funk band come out and play for awhile before she came out and before we knew who it was (with everyone before that independent/underground hip-hop) so it did not fit. Then she came out singing (I don't have a problem with singing again it didn't fit the mood) and didn't do anything from her classic stuff it was mostly from her acoustic album. She could of did some Fugee joints or cuts from the Miseducation album but wanted to do new joints I quess.

People even started chanting "Wu-Tang, Wu-Tang" through her set it was pure comedy.

Ha, while I love Lauryn's stuff, I can understand the crowd's disappointment.

Doesn't seem like I missed much.

I thought the Frisco show got the short end of the stick last year when I heard San Bernidino got Ms. Hill, our special guest was Dave Chappelle.

He was on-stage for about 57 seconds.

Use the tag and put the URL of the vid in between them. It's the blue M on the little toolbar thingie, BTW.

Did Jay-Z ever make anything worthwhile besides Reasonable Doubt?
