hmm.
ya, kinda saw that coming, which is why I didn't state it as a fact. good to know though.
Then why even post it?

A republican friend of mine quoted verbatim most every one of the talking points here. He seemed defensive when I told him how and why it was all BS. Especially that even the pentagon called the number of ships going to be BS, this from a navy veteran.

Are these people really willing to beleive any negative thing that is said about Obama? Without any thought to verify any of it? Come on.

I'd say we're past a point where liberals and conservatives can agree on anything. Conservatives are blinded by a pure hatred for anything liberal these days. You can take Republican policies, have a Democrat front them, and cons will act like the Rapture is coming. I have lost all hope for any sort of unity in this country.

At this point, we should start staking claims for a divided America.

How much of this is people ready to believe crap about Obama and how much is people ready to believe crap about government spending in general?

Even those reado to believe crap about gov't spending (like some who posted here) were smart enough to say 'hang on, does this figure make SENSE and is it comparable to what past presidents have spent on similar trips?' (some people who posted here did that too).

Well it's Obama spending all the money, right? Or at least that's what we keep being told. If that's the case then what does it matter?
Then why even post it?
I wanted to see some discussion on the use of tax payer money for over seas trips, such as the one he is on.

Well of course Urkel had to get out of the country - he doesn't want to be around to walk through the post-election wreckage. He's much too good for that, you know.

For this to be about government spending in general, those people would have needed to made some kind of show that they cared about it one bit from 2001-2009.

Oh trq, they just didn't realize they cared until the president was black, and NO there is NO correlation between the two, you capital r Racist.

Cost of a daily 200 million dollar excursion for 365 days:

73,000,000,000

Cost of our empire, yearly basis:

1,000,000,000,000+

Republicans flailing over exaggerated claims of spending while supporting a ruinous foreign policy:

LOL

The sad thing is, there are actually morons out there that believe this crap.

Then why don't cons give a damn about Rick Perry? You all get on your knees when it comes to state and local government but they spend just as much.

I guess ole' Rick deserves a vacation or five but Obama shouldn't be talking to one of the largest countries in the world. Never mind that an alliance with India would be our best chance to win a potential war with Pakistan or China.

I'll hate on my own governor all I want, but I'm not going to go out of my way to research texas' governor to criticize his policies. Hate to break it to you, but I don't give a fuck what he does.

A potential war? Sigh.

Because Texas is such a large state, they pull in a lot of federal money. You should care what happens to the big states. We'll be on the hook for California and New York soon enough.

Are you saying that India isn't important to our long term goals in Asia? China eventually is going to get big enough to start thinking empire and someone should be there to stop them. Never mind. It's much more important to deal with these situations when they blow up instead of going over on diplomatic missions and goodwill tours. We already piss them off with the amount of aid we offer Pakistan despite Pakistan's constant antagonism but who cares right?

I'm trying to figure out what your angle is since it's been proven that's we're not spending hundreds of millions a day on a good will trip. Are you opposed to any goodwill tours, ones to Asia, or ones by Democratic Presidents? What is it?

I can't vote out Rick Perry. I tried to vote Pat Quinn out. I can assure you, my local government isn't spending anywhere near as much as the Federal branch of the government (Bush or Obama). Our city is trying to scramble together about $4 Million to upgrade our sewer/water facility to meet EPA guidelines. If we were spending like DC, we could have replaced the entire Water Works with gold piping and pay midgets to clean the pipes from the insides.

It's not about race when it comes to Obama. I don't much care for the policies from his white half either.
