Holy crap. There site is crazy. I wanted to add one more movie and haven't been able to get anything to load for like 15 minutes. Frustrating.
 
Got my package of four blurays that I purchased last tuesday. They almost look brand new, all had bluray cases and all that. Great buy from hwv!
 
Whats with all the assholes in this thread? You make one post that you weren't too pleased and you have 15 people going off on you. Its like you are share holders in HWV or something. YES. WE KNEW they were used. YES they did not send what was in their item description on their sale listing, NO we wont be buying from them again. But for people to argue over how great of a deal it is and then almost get pissed because others dont agree about how great the deal is is stupid. Did myself or someone else saying that they weren't happy really spoil your day THAT MUCH? No? Then buy your 5 dollar blus and shut the fuck up already.
 
can anyone tell me of the terminator 2 is worth getting? i heard it had worse quality than the skynet edition but does it warrant paying an extra $10 for ~$6 at hollywood for regular but skynet is like $17 at amazon
 
Site's back up with some titles that have previously been requested in this thread, like Crank, Pursuit of Happyness, Shoot 'Em Up, Push, many others. I snagged Duplicity but it seems to be gone now.
 
Whatever you do, avoid Dan in Real Life. Seeing Steve Carrell all depressed made me depressed for like 2 weeks. Hated that movie.
 
One of my order for 7 Blu-Rays is screwed up. I applied the coupon and confirmed it was there for checkout. Now when I goto my orders the coupon didnt apply. I tried emailing them but got no response. Could cost me nearly $13 (which I realize isnt alot of money but its the principle) Has anyone had any luck emailing them regarding orders or do I need to call them?

Placed three separate orders over three days and received all 12 movies I ordered. Every one had a Blu case and original artwork plus the discs looked to be in great condition. Only minor complaints I have are that Wolverine was the "rental exclusive" which doesn't have special features and the case for Blade Runner had been sliced across the plastic but managed not to damage the artwork, but those aren't too big a deal to me.
 
Finally got the website to work. Got 4 blu-rays for $23 shipped. No bad at all once their website finally started working. Does anyone know if they update their inventory everyday with new titles or is that all the have left. I was hoping to get a few more but they didn't have too much to choose from

They randomly update everyday or every other day. Sometimes the updates are minor but sometimes they will add 300-400 titles and almost half of them are new releases/popular titles. Only problem the website sucks so bad and so many people are buying the titles it's hard to take advantage of the really good updates.
 
I am pretty sure that the updates are actually what kill the site. It always seems like after the site is down for a good length of time it comes back with more movies available. I could be mistaken, but I think it is HWV themselves that fuck the system. This has to be the worst run business.

Well got my order from 2/24/10 for 6 blus. 4 were in great shape but Kingdom of Heaven has a small scratch and Quantum of Solace has 2 pretty noticeable scratches that follow the curvature of the disc. Seems like something scratched it as it was spinning. I will try this one first. Iron Man and Dark Knight came with 2 discs. Pretty happy so far.
 
I was going to place a new order last night, but Firefox kept giving me the "untrusted site" warning, saying their security certificate couldn't be verified. Whoever manages their website does an amazing job of making it as unappealing as possible.

EDIT - On a positive note, my final order just came in. 16/16 this time. I'll tell ya, once they cleared up the problem with shipping those $0.00 items to the wrong people, their reliability has been pretty solid. Now if they'd just fix the damn website, and make it not look like it's going to steal my identity, that would be great!

Why do you guys continue to buy such shitty movies? Not that I should complain, I suppose it gives me a better chance at getting the titles I want.

Trying to tell anyone what they should and shouldn't buy does nothing but make you look stupid. I'm sure if you posted your collection there are tons of horrible, horrible movies in there, but hey, who am I to judge?

You ever think that maybe I wanted to see it and know a place close to me that buys them for 7 a piece, so not only do I get to see it free, but I also make a buck fifty in the process?

Wow, I always appreciate folks feedback about movies. Keeps me from buying crap movies. There have been many times on CAG that I have been able to avoid a terrible game or movies because someone spoke up and told me not to waste my cash. Been here a long time and it always amazes me how folks come up with these arguments. Sounds like someone just wanted to pick a fight. The Interweb is an amazing thing, like liquid courage in the real world.

Dude, shut the fuck up. Quit crying because someone asked you why you buy shitty movies. You're an emotionally immature individual. Maybe you should look into taking some of that money you get from selling the Blu's, and invest in some therapy.

Exactly. I was not posting for any other reason but to let people know what I received and to alleviate any kind of frustration people may have with order used movies to let everyone know the quality of them. Then some little e-thug decided to come in and start flinging insults.

The guy above me is obviously no better. We need less people like this in the CAG community. Last I checked this community was to help people, not tear people down for what they enjoy.
 
Excuse me everyone for just trying to inform others what was received so it can alleviate any frustrations of buying used by letting people know what condition they were in. I see now that this community is not here to help people, but more to tear others down for their purchases.

In the future I will be sure not to post good experiences to help others as my credibility will be called into play.

I would also like to add to the guy above me that I have kept my responses on a high level of maturity compared what was being thrown at me. I find it funny that you are suggesting that I should get therapy when you are the one bursting a blood vessel and raging over words typed on a computer screen over the internet.

Just curious, is anybody still getting the "untrusted site" message from Firefox? Are you guys just continuing anyway to place your orders? It pops up every time I try to check out now.

Just got my first order today "G.I. Joe". Perfect case and disc. Strange thing though, I put this in my cart and was unable to check out due to a HTTP error it would not take my payment info. The movie remained in my cart though and I was able to check out 3 days later even though the movie had been removed from the site. Also strange the return label did not say HV but some guy named Gary in TN. Glad it worked out, I guess I was one of the few people that actually liked this movie.
 
i put in 2 orders on Friday, did not get any emails, got 1 shipping email on Saturday, should i be worried about the second? i was charged both, haven't heard anything on the second order though.
