I held back on buying those for now. I think I've spent close to $300 last time before they jacked up the prices. The extra $2 more is a deal breaker for me, lol

I've only done a DVD-to-BR comparison on AZKABAN, but it's totally noticeable on my 40" 1080p TV. That said, I think only three of the HP movies are worth rewatching in the first place.

I saw that too, they had all of the first 5 movies out. I'm not a big fan but I'll ask my mom and sister because I know they like the movies and I don't think they have them all yet. So yes do it if you like the movies.
 
FYI I had the 25pv code working last night, it registered after I added one movie to the cart, then disappeared after adding a second. Once I was satisfied, I put it in again, and it came up. FWIW.

Also, I had Wall-E, Kung Fu Panda and Iron Man in my cart last night. Didn't check out, and as of this morning they are gone :[

If the stock changes that abruptly, I may have to submit my order then. I was going to wait until Wall-E, Iron Man, and Inglourious Basterds came back in stock, but I'll probably miss-out on Batman Begins, Hellboy 2, and the few others I was going to wait on.

No reason to wait. Shipping is always free with 25pv. Six orders of one movie apiece or one order of six movies costs the same.

Yeah, I was just going to do a big order though, just to have everything combined.

I actually waited, and went down to work to get something. I come back, and now Batman Begins is OOS. Haha, well, I kind of screwed myself on that one! Submitting the rest of my order now (they also got a few more in-stock since earlier, like Hulk on Blu-Ray for $8.99).

Edit: Ending up getting Hulk, Hellboy II, and Transporter 3. If anyone sees I.B. or Iron Man in-stock, if you wouldn't mind PM'ing me and letting me know, I'd greatly appreciate it! I plan to check every day, but just incase I miss it, I'd be grateful.

You might be in trouble with buying it at that price. Some people on the blu-ray.com forum reported that if a movie was listed as 4.99 it was a dvd even if it said blu-ray. Hopefully you don't get screwed on that one.

This deal got me again though. I ended up buying the first five harry potter's for $37.42. Can't beat that price.
 
Got Let the Right One In on Bluray. I know about the subtitle issues but I don't think it will be too big of a deal.

Yeah, the stores that are closing have some insane deals in their last days. I picked up a handful for $4, and two more today for $3. There aren't any left, though, so that sucks.
 
The movies are all 8.99 but I might wait becuase there are restock pretty often it seems so I wanna see if some new titles get added soon

Price increase + rental cases = me less likely to buy anything else from HWV.

Wow that really sucks. I ordered that too and I really hate not getting the proper packaging. Looks like I'll stop ordering from here on out.

It's not just that; It's the price increase combined with the case. I've only gotten one generic DVD case- since the price on older blu-rays is going down fast (e.g. Fry's giant $10 or less in-store sale) my tolerance at this new increased price point is much lower.
 
Maybe the lack of a proper Blu Ray case is why it was at a lower price. Did anyone order the 8.99 version of Let The Right One In? If so, did it come in a Blu case?

Way back in the day, when I bought a used movie at my local Movie Gallery, it was covered in a DVD-sized transparent stick with "Movie Gallery" printed on it in black. I tried removing one and the DVD underneath never stopped being a little sticky. But that was five years ago.

troy, the sharpie shouldn't affect the way it plays.
 
Just got a shipment today of the following:

Die Hard 3
State of Play
Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe

All came in the crappy DVD cases with the blu-ray artwork. I just ordered some cases from sleevetown to replace these. No biggie.
 
Of course I missed the good update! And now the sites being clobbered by people from Slickdeals buying a bunch of crappy cheap DVDs..... Argh!!!!!
 
Damn, missed Where the Wild Things Are. This is the BR I want to get, since there were no good deals at release. I'll be keeping an eye on this now.
