Home Beta Signups Are Out

whoops. I hope they open it up to everyone.

That would suck if they packed in the beta with some game that they think will perform poorly :)
 
With my experiance with Beta tests, the last phase is fairly open to most. That way they can stress test the servers. The early stages are used to find bugs, and keep things steady as they slowly increase the user numbers.

The 1st testers are most likely going to be furstrated with crashes and other random items (not that I wouldn't LOVE to be one) but I do expect Sony to open it up to most everyone in the coming months (and the article seems to hint at that).
 
Stress test should be exceptionally useful for Home, considering they're pushing streaming video and audio with multiple viewers. They'll want to make sure it's working nice before they open it up to the world.

Don't know. Maybe only in Europe, but I've read some people say they got the e-mail but wheren't in GAP here in the US. But it is the internet, so you can't believe everything you read.
 
Home is one the reasons i picked up a ps3 and yet i will be waiting for a more public beta.

No. This is North America, but all reports seem to be Canadian right now and until further notice, only on the store in HD.

Checking under the Blu-Ray trailers has revealed it for some people. Keep checking back throughout the day.

I'd share too, but I'm not going to beg to get into a BETA. Especially when the finished product will be available for free later this year.

Don't lose hope - they're reportedly releasing in waves. Unfortunately I'm 500 miles away from my PS3, so I can't check :)
