Hooray, I finally maxed out GGT #33's Social Link!

so when does ch 11 of ff13 open up? I'm kind of still on one track here... everything is unlocked though, except job role level 5...

also, will i eventually make any money?

Haha, sucker! FFXIII NEVER OPENS UP!! I made you waste your time!!!

jk, it's when you get to the big open field. It's conspicuous compared to the rest of the game. There are offshoots and tributaries around the field to explore while doing missions. I forget about job level 5-- that might be after an eidolon fight early in ch.11.

I forget how I made money in that game, but the fights in ch.11 should give you a bunch. also, it's too late now (and this happened to me), but apparently the best time to make money is to farm soldiers in earlier chapters for credit chips.

Yeah, I can see that... these bitches in ch 11 don't drop shit. I need cash to buy shit so I can get 3x multipliers for upgrades. >.<

I have all the eidolons.
Job level 5 is after you beat the final boss.
Is there any reason to keep roaming chapter 11 and not press foward when you can come back and do all this shit *after* you beat the last boss?
If so, is there a "point of no return"?

I'm on that part in the tower where you need to do the 3 missions to proceed.

not really any reason. except that it's lots of fun and by that point in the game, I wasn't sure if I could take two more chapters of linearity. though the last two chapters' graphics are probably some of the best this gen.

traded off my LBP in prep for LBP2 as well as Phantasy Star Port for PhantasySP2. Used it for PSN credit then picked up Eye of Judgment PSP. Tempted to get Final Fight Double Impact but I've beaten both on MAME... is it worth it even factoring in that and it being $5?

No.
Why?

Go update your thread.
Because
PSN sale thread devolved into fanboy wars over who has the best lineup
Then I'll avoid the thread. Thanks for the heads up. :)

Finally figured out how to make the on-screen keyboard for the xbox 360 qwerty. I'd have never thought to look where they stuck that option.

let me guess---

get to the Marketplace, open "Arcade games," go to Arkadian Warriors, download the demo, die three times at exactly 3 minutes into the demo, exit to the dashboard, watch a doritos commercial while drinking mountain dew in a slipknot t-shirt, then download the optional media update, and it's hidden there.

It's under Language and Locale in the Console Settings menu, where you'd set what language all of the text on the dashboard should be in. They have English (default) and English (QWERTY) options in there.

I have finally become part of the problem and brought the Squirrel girl for Blazeblue CS...
Modnation Racers is fun, but the load times are atrocious.
The next patch should FINALLY fix that... maybe I'll play it again.

You're not getting off that easy...

Chibi_Kaji paid $8 for an unlock code for a sexualized furry squirrel anime girl.

I want it as well, but there's no way I'm paying 8 bucks for one character. :whistle2:#

Quoted for extra emphasis.

Seriously, $8 for that shit? GTFO.

Edit: Directed towards Aksys of Evil, not Chibi.

Chibi stinks.

Oh and TMK, explain to me why I had to wait for the HDD light to stop blinking to download the latest Uncharted 2 update? None of my friends would know where to go to figure that out.

You bastard, you never mentioned this on Twitter.

Oh well, only paid 33.00 shipped.

I paid $57 for mine (got a $10 gaming credit) and felt it was worth it. Also bought on PSP (better loading, lacks the cool drifting) on release. Love both too much, but need to get back into them.

I just received Disney Sing It: Family Hits on PS3 today. The game is fun singing to classic Disney music, such as Aladdin "A Whole New World". Earned 8 trophies in the game.
 manatroll got you.
Oh STFU. I don't care what you say about the stuff I like.

heh, I won't even try to defend my purchase. But at least I didn't pay the $6 just to unlock the unlimited characters.

I can't really say anything to Chibi because I'm no Japanese expert, yet I paid $40 for an import copy of Tales of Destiny 2 on PSP. About to do it for Tales of Rebirth next.

I don't know how much you know about Japan, but I'm an expert.

I almost platnumed Throw Shit Away today. I can't wait for the DLC.

I am a japanese expert.

Like I was telling Frosty, going from limited to full black levels is a big adjustment. I keep thinking my games are too dark, but they were really just washed out before. My poor eyes were exposed to non varying levels of black
If you own it, you won't have to deal with the DRM, right? Or did I miss something about DI's DRM?
You have to be logged on to PSN to play it, even if you don't want to play online.

EDIT: beaten

Might as well throw this out there, but you know that 57MB update you got when you first put in BBCS? That's where you squirrel girl came from; they even show her on the character select screen with a lock over her picture, fuckin' teases.

Oh yeah, I kept thinking it was the one where you had to be using the original owner's profile to play it online or off.
Still don't know whether to support Capcom's Nazi-tacular DRM on FF: Double Impact or not... $5 is a good deal... but the DRM is fuckin' ridiculous.
Yeah, don't bother. If you're gonna drop cash on it, just get the Xbox version.
Yeah, don't bother. If you're gonna drop cash on it, just get the Xbox version.
I'd recommend the same, but it's $10, 800pts if you would prefer the amount in moon money.

XBLA is full price.
Also, I had cash left in my wallet from the last $20 card I got for $10 -- so I really paid $2.50, I guess? I can live with that.

Mames, where's a good place to level up out in the open fields in ch11 of ff13?

I'd rather pay twice as much to not be pissed off by bullshit. Personal preference.

yeah I am eating Chef Boyardee beef ravioli for dinner, so fuck off!

the sauce just kinda tastes like sour salty stuff and the "beef" really doesn't taste beefy at all.

it's wonderful.
