CAGiversary!
I just recently found this deal, didn't know Hori was pushing the GameCube Retro SNES looking controllers in the US. I thought this crap was only import only. Anyway, this site got it for $16 bucks straight up, US version.

I ordered from them awhile back when they had the Final Fantasy Online Clocks, so they're legit so far. I checked out the cost of the imported versions and you do save a few bucks. Anyway, just sharing my 2 cent to the dying breed of GameCube lovers out there... :applause:

Yep, got mine today as well. It was sent in a bubble mailer, so if you're a stickler about the box for the controller (as a collector) you might want to seek assurances of a cardboard box instead of a bubble mailer. But yeah, nice item nice price.

Hey, finally got a chance to stop back.

They're shipped in bubble mailers because shipping is only 2$. The post office has a box that can hold them for about 4$ which I can use if you put in an extra $2 shipping (for those of you who don't want it in a bubble mailer). As far as I have seen, though, the bubble mailer really doesn't crush the box or anything, unless it gets stuck under some heavy stuff during transit.

For all of you that have gotten yours already, what do you think of the controller and how it feels? I'd like to get some feedback from real customers, not just reviewers, so I can point people who are interested to this thread and show them what you said.

Well, I'm not sure if its the fact the controller is new, or if its the controller but the buttons are very stiff. This was the issue with my retrocon too, figured it was cause it was new until my button masher friend destroyed it with CVS2, now its soft but very unresponsive. So I dunno, thats my only issue with it. That and it feels a bit small in my hands.

You know, I have never seen the Mad Catz version. Anyone else seen and how do they compare to the Hori version?
