House of the Dead 2 & 3 Confirmed for March 2008
Dude, go read my last post. I tried to be nice about it, but you refuse to even consider how you're mistaken, so I'll drop the nice bit.

If you don't understand how HOTD4 on Wii would be no more of a port than Bioshock on PS1 would, then you're a fucking dumbass of the highest caliber, and you need to stop spreading your retardation.

Wii fanboy dumbass.
Your narrow, idiotic definition of what a port is does not matter to companies like Capcom. How many times do I have to point out the obvious to you moron? RE4 is on a cellphone, and yes it is a fucking port. You can cry about how it isn't a port and spout off your drivel about what makes a real port, but that doesn't change the fact that it is.

Your whole stupid argument is "it's not a port because it doesn't fit my definition of a port", and you are wrong. The videogame world does not revolve around what you think a port is, and the myriad of games that have been ported more than bear that out.

Oh, yes and the fanboy comment was very nice - especially since what I'm saying has nothing to do with any specific console. You are an idiot. Thanks for making the internet a worse place.

Your idiotic and incorrect definition of what a port is, does not change the actual, popularly accepted definition of the word.

Your definition of a "port" is basically any platform version of a game that has the same title as another platform version of the game. By your defintion, this game is a port of this game, which, no matter how hard you insist it is, it's not.

You need to learn the difference between a videogame port, and a videogame adaptation. They're not the same fucking thing.

I repeat: HOTD4 cannot be ported to Wii. It could, however, be adapted.

Furthermore, RE4 Mobile is not a port. It's a completely reprogrammed adaptation, which shares no common codebase with the original.

The term "port," as it relates to computer software (including videogames), has a specific definition recognized by computer engineers and programmers the world over, and if you choose to ignore the proper definition of the term and insist on using it improperly, then that's your own problem. To anyone educated on the matter, you only look stupider the more you babble on.
Typing of the Dead and a real light gun control option pleeeeeaaase.
What in the world do you mean by "real light gun control option"?

Yeah, going to wait for the reason I should re-buy this on the Wii considering the gun and game can be had for $20 or less on eBay for the XBox.

If you don't own a XBox I can see you buying this game though.

I'll wait for more deals. They should just throw in HOTD1 to.
What in the world do you mean by "real light gun control option"?
That I can point, aim, and shoot like a normal light gun. No wiimote cursor, real aiming. In terms of the wiitmote, it would take a quick calibration where you aim and shoot at the corners of the screen. LCD Light guns used this method on PS2 and presumably GunCon 3 will as well.
That's true, but I'd think it'd still be far cheaper to grab the Xbox version and a lightgun at this point. But either way, I do hope that they've got something extra in there so that this won't feel like a straight port of a game from 2002. If they do add something new like improved graphics or something else worthwhile... then I'll probably pick this up.
But, unless I'm mistaken (what a horrid though!), HOTD3 Xbox's Light gun is still in the NES Zapper-esque category and thus reuires a SD, CRT TV to work (preferbly with curved glass rather than flat). I thought TC4 was the first home light gun game to come with a product that will work on HDTVs, but I'm not certain on that.

I just picked up the zapper yesterday and I'm excited to play this, RE: UC, and Ghost Squad. Light Gun games are pretty fun even if I suck at them, and not having to spend a ton of cash on the guns is really nice. Now, Nintendo, where's my Duck Hunt on the Wii? I'm talking NES version on the VC and that redone version from Wii Play only actually made to be Duck Hunt via WiiWare.
