I can't let this go without responding.
1) There are stupid, ignorant people everywhere you go. To identify the stupid, ignorant people where you live, watch for phrases like "Everyone here is stupid and ignorant". And, "(Insert current state or city of residence here) really sucks."
2) I agree Texas is warm, and tends to be year-round, but AT LEAST wait until a year when it didn't snow and ice in HOUSTON and SOUTH PADRE to make complaints like "I don't think this state has a winter anymore."
3) I have lived and traveled all over the country, and I can make two statements with a full measure of certainty:
A) Everybody in every state in the US is convinced that the weather in their state is "crazier" and "likely to change in the blink of an eye" moreso than anywhere else in the US.
B) Texans all over the US are universally known for their love of their homestate. No matter where I live, the consensus has always been "Nobody loves their homestate like Texans." These statements are often made with some level of disdain for Texans (along the lines of "what makes them think Texas is so special?"). But regardless, for a place that you think is so miserable it is the only state I have ever seen where former residents hold it in such high regard.
By the way, I have not lived in Texas for over 4 years now. I was one of the ignorant and stupid ones I guess who went to college, graduated with honors, and got a well-paying job that allows me to work and travel around the country...
