how did i do on my recent ps3 purchases?

CAGiversary!
so i decided to finally buy a ps3 and the games i have wanted for it over the last few years. i ordered all of these within the last 36 hours. the breakdown goes like this:

160gb PS3- $224
uncharted: drake's fortune- $14
hdmi cables and hdmi switch- $43
killzone 2- $10
infamous- $10
ratchet and clank: ACiT- $15

total (so far): $316

the ps3 was from amazon warehouse wedns night; the cables, Uncharted, KZ2 and infamous from amazon, and R&C from gamestop. all the games were paid by gift cards/store credit (i thought the cables were too since i bought them through a seller on amazon, but it turns out it got paid on my card, makes sense since amazon wasn't the seller).

i also still plan to get the first R&C game from amazon for $10 later, and a second controller from radioshack for $35. i'd like to get uncharted 2 and god of war 3 as well, but i don't think i'm going to find them in my price range this weekend, especially since i can wait to buy them since i already have all these games to play.

well i can check tools of destruction off my list as well. so now for $326 i have a 16gb ps3, 5 good games i wanted, and my hd supplies.

First off, you overpaid on the cables. Here's a $2.99 HDMI cable from Newegg.com with FREE SHIPPING: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812189053

Second, you could've bought Uncharted for $6 a couple of weeks ago(in red greatest hits case) from Toys R'Us.

Third, Uncharted 2 is listed on Wal-Mart's website under the $10 game section, so maybe if you went in with a printout of that portion of their site they would pricematch that in store. But since it's sold out no price is even listed next to it.

Moreover, if you didn't mind it being a silver controller you could've bought a Dual Shock 3 in silver from Radio Shack for $25 and saved $10 there.

All in all though not a bad bunch of purchases, but you definitely could've done better on the stuff I mentioned above.;)

well i had checked out my local TRU but didn't find it in stock there.
with uncharted 2, i heard lots of people saying they didn't get management to match the $10 price online, plus i didn't feel like actually going out to a store on black friday, especially not walmart (i dont like to shop there, especially when amazon will match most of their sales)
i did want to get the $25 ps3 controller, but my local radioshack didn't have it. also i preferred to use my hundreds of dollars of amazon credit lol.

in regards to the cables, i did pay more for them then i usually do, since i like to use monoprice, but the cables seemed to come out more then usual when shipping was thrown in, so i paid a few more bucks just to get it from amazons seller. the switch was what cost most of the money ($25), and i was originally looking into $10-$15 ones, but they usually had a good chunk of negative reviews so i figured i'd just take the plunge on that one too.

those ones from meritline don't look too bad..although the ifrst review is also negative. hmm.
