How difficult is it to find an OLED Vita in the wild?

I want to get a Vita with an OLED screen while they are still around. I have not been paying attention to the Vita at all until now, so I don't know what I should be expecting in terms of prices and availability. I remember seeing them go for as low as $199 at one point (maybe during Christmas time). Can I expect the prices for the old version to go down significantly so that stores can get rid of old stock? Are they actually hard to find in the wild? Should I just bite the bullet and get one online from an Amazon reseller?

They are extremely easy to get used here on the trading forums, and everywhereelse. I bought mine for $150 used with a few games, as I thought it would be harder to getan OLED screen once the new ones were released, but NOPE. They are everywhere, and at better prices than I paid for mine :(.

Cowboom is a good place too. They have like new condition ones (best buy open box returns etc.) for $120 or so pretty often.

I got a Grade 6 that was good as new back in February.

Really easy I guess. The Vita isn't doing too hot, but neither is the attach rate for handheld gaming systems in general, since everybody would rather have their phones.

Thanks for the tip. I'll do a sweep of all the stores around here and if I see one, I'll snap it up ASAP. If not, I'll probably get one from goHastings. I have to do some research on the site though since they seem to get bad reviews.

Ya, I would be wary of them

I decided to try my luck and buy a new game from them

Got a used POS :/

How is the return process?
I tried to do an exchange because it said they had "new" ones in stock still, they told me no, I couldn't. So then I asked them if all their "new" stuff was like the garbage they sent me and that's why they wouldn't do an exchange for another one? In my mind a retailer would prefer an exchange over a return so this seemed weird to me that they wouldn't. Then for a return they want me to pay shipping, which there is no way in hell i'm doing since it isn't a "I didn't like it" scenario, this was a "you lied" scenario. I sent Amazon a thing yesterday so we'll see.

I looked around town today and didn't find any original Vitas anywhere. Best Buy, Target, Gamestop, Toys"R"Us, and Walmart were all cleaned out. I spoke to the salesperson at Gamestop and he told me that Sony pretty much stopped shipping new stock in January. He also told me that he and three of his friends went hunting for them in this area two months back and had a hard time finding them. So, I'd say that they are in fact getting scarce. I'll probably pick one up from a reputable seller on Amazon this weekend.
